The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Notasulga Quarry, a crushed-stone operation 14 miles south of Camp Hill, and Auburn Quarry another stone pit 21.4 miles to the south-east. A dump truck or tractor that has hauled aggregate out of either one may be sitting at the pit, at a yard in town or at your house, and we collect from whichever spot it is in.
Two industrial-mineral sites also appear on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register: Flagpole, 18.9 miles west, and Shady Grove Quarry, 22.7 miles east. If your truck worked those haul roads, photograph the body, the hoist and the cab, and send the VIN with them so the description and the pictures arrive together.
Of the 33 active trucking companies based in Camp Hill on FMCSA’s carrier census, 13 list logs, poles, beams and lumber among their cargo, and 15 list general freight. A log truck with its standards and bunks still mounted is something we buy as it stands; tell us whether a trailer goes with it or the tractor is being sold alone.
Machinery and large objects show up on 12 of those registrations in the federal carrier census, and motor vehicles on 5. For a lowboy tractor or a car hauler, list the trailer’s deck type and length when you write to us, and keep the registration card in the cab for the day it is picked up.
On FMCSA’s federal census of registered operators, 25 of the town’s carriers stay intrastate and 8 cross state lines, while 16 haul their own goods as private operations. A truck kept on in-state work is usually parked near home, so a driveway or shop lot in Camp Hill is a perfectly good pickup point.
FMCSA’s registrations put the three biggest local outfits at 17 power units, 10 power units and 4 power units. Whether you are letting go of one tractor or several from a fleet that size, send a list of VINs and where each truck sits, and we will arrange the collections from that list.
What inspections show about local tractors
Federal roadside inspection records list 28 Camp Hill-based trucks checked between December 2024 and August 2026, with a median model year of 2011.5 and 60.7 percent at ten or more years old. Older and newer units are both on our list; tell us the model year and the engine make when you first get in touch.
Photograph service invoices, a recent annual inspection sheet or a maintenance log too, since they tell us what the truck has done before anyone sees it.
Titles here are handled by the Alabama Department of Revenue, which works through County License Plate Issuing Officials. The Alabama Department of Revenue’s office list names the closest as Tallapoosa - Dadeville, 6.7 miles from Camp Hill, at 125 N. Broadnax St., Rm 126, Dadeville, 36853 on the Alabama Department of Revenue list.
If the title is missing, start the replacement at that Dadeville office before the truck is collected, and bring your registration and photo ID. A title that shows a lender should come with the lien release; if the loan is still open, tell us who holds it.
Bridges, farm country and the Opelika terminal
Around Camp Hill the National Bridge Inventory counts 18 bridges, 4 of them load-posted and none with clearance below fourteen feet. When you tell us where the truck is, mention the road it is on, so the carrier sent to collect it can plan a route that suits a loaded rig.
Tallapoosa County held 299 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with corn, cattle and hogs listed first. Grain trucks, livestock haulers and farm tractors parked out at a barn are collected where they stand; a field gate address and a phone number for whoever is on site will do.
Southeast of town, the Energy Information Administration lists the Opelika Propane Terminal 22.5 miles away. A propane or fuel delivery truck that loads there can be sold with its tank; send the tank’s data plate photo along with the VIN.
