Alabama City yard and the Coosa side of town
Head 7.5 miles south-east out of Carlisle-Rockledge and you reach the Alabama City rail yard, mapped in the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain. A tractor or straight truck that has shuttled freight to and from that yard is one we collect from wherever it is parked, whether that is a driveway in town or a lot closer to the tracks.
Seventeen miles to the east, the Coosa Plant sand and gravel operation appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration listings. If your dump truck has hauled aggregate out of that plant, give us the VIN, the registration and a few clear photos of the bed and cab, and tell us whether it sits at the pit or at home.
Cut and crushed rock
Quarry faces east and west of Carlisle-Rockledge
Glencoe Quarry, a crushed-stone site 14.8 miles south-east, and Brooksville Quarry, another crushed-stone site 19.5 miles west, are both on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s rolls. Tri-axle dumps and end-dump trailers that ran stone from either face are trucks we buy, and a gate address for the quarry yard is enough for us to plan the pickup.
West of Carlisle-Rockledge by 17.3 miles, Tremendous Pit cuts dimension stone, per the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Flatbeds and heavy-spec tractors that moved cut blocks from that pit are welcome; send the title holder’s name exactly as printed so the paperwork matches on collection day.
Bulk liquids south-east
Tankers that loaded at RJ Corman
South-east of Carlisle-Rockledge, RJ Corman runs a liquid bulk terminal that the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists among the freight facilities near town. If your tanker or the tractor that pulled it served that terminal, list the trailer type and any site inspection sheets you kept, and we will ask about the rest.
Send photos of both sides of the tank, the cab and the data plate. Keep the registration in the cab so the driver who collects it can match the VIN to the paperwork.
Guntersville port and the mines north-west
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Guntersville as a port 19.2 miles north-west of Carlisle-Rockledge. Trucks that hauled to the docks there can be picked up on that side of the county line just as easily as in town.
Guntersville Sand, an industrial-mineral mine 20.7 miles north-west, shows up in Mine Safety and Health Administration records too. For a hopper or dump that worked those sand pits, tell us where it is parked now and whether a loaded lowboy can reach it.
Cattle, corn and cotton
Livestock and grain trailers off local farms
Around Carlisle-Rockledge, cattle lead the farm list, followed by corn and cotton, and USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 725 farms across Etowah County. Livestock trailers, grain trucks and module haulers from those operations are all trucks we take.
On Etowah pasture land, a stock trailer parked behind a cattle gate is fine for us to collect. Tell us the gate, the ground and whether it is fenced in with stock, and have the title in the owner’s name ready alongside the tag receipt.
Alabama routes title applications through the Alabama Department of Revenue, with County License Plate Issuing Officials taking them in each county. For Carlisle-Rockledge owners, the Etowah County office is at 800 Forrest Ave, Ground Floor, Room #21, Gadsden, 35901, which the Alabama Department of Revenue places 9.4 miles from town.
If the title is missing, start the replacement at that Gadsden office before you call us, and bring the registration and your ID. When a lender is still named on the title, have the lien release in hand too, so the transfer clears without a second trip.
