Sell your semi truck for cash in Clio the easy and convenient way

Clio sits in western Barbour County, with timber loads, cattle and cotton country, and two industrial-mineral mines to the east keeping a small set of local trucks at work.

Clio’s six timber carriers and their trailers

Six of the 16 active carriers based in Clio list logs, poles, beams or lumber among their cargo, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. A log truck from one of those outfits is often parked at a woodyard, a landing or the owner’s own lot rather than in town. Tell us the road it sits on and whether a tractor can reach it from the pavement, and we plan the collection around that spot.

The same federal carrier census shows five Clio-based operators that move machinery and large objects. If your tractor has pulled a lowboy or a knuckleboom loader trailer, say which trailer goes with the sale and send photos of both pieces so the listing we work from matches what is in the yard.

Cattle, cotton and corn around the town

Around Clio, Barbour County counted 590 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with cattle, cotton and corn listed as its leading products. A grain truck, a cattle hauler or a flatbed that carries cotton modules often spends the off-season under a shed on the farm itself. We come to that farm; send the gate directions and the name of whoever can let us in.

Farm supplies appear on the cargo list of seven Clio carriers in FMCSA’s census, close behind the nine that haul general freight. For a truck that has made feed, seed or fertilizer runs, gather the title, the current Alabama registration and any service records you kept, then photograph the cab, the bed and the VIN plate before you call.

East toward the mines

Mineral pits out on the eastern side of Clio

Jones Mine, an industrial-mineral operation on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, lies about 18.7 miles east of Clio. Barbour County Mines sits farther along that bearing, roughly 22.1 miles out on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that has worked either site can be sold from wherever it is now parked.

If the truck is still on mine property, tell us who controls access and whether a site escort is needed. Any inspection reports or maintenance logs kept for mine work should travel with the title, since they show where the truck has been.

Two Army stagefields on either side of Clio

Louisville Stagefield AL is about 7.8 miles north of town, and Goldberg Stagefield AL roughly 22.1 miles to the south-east, both shown as military installations by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. They mark the roads a Clio truck covers heading toward Louisville or down toward the Wiregrass side of the county.

If you have moved away and left a truck parked near either stagefield, the sale can still go ahead. Give us the parking address, a phone number for someone nearby who can show us the truck, and the VIN, and you handle the paperwork from where you live now.

In Alabama a Clio owner applies for a duplicate title through the County License Plate Issuing Officials, who act for the Alabama Department of Revenue. The Department of Revenue’s office list places Barbour County - City of Eufaula at 303 E. Broad St., Room 101, Eufaula, 36027, a Department of Revenue office about 30.4 miles from Clio.

If the title is missing, start the replacement with that Eufaula office before we schedule the collection, and keep the receipt it issues. Bring your driver’s license and the truck’s VIN, and if a lender held a lien, ask the lender for its release letter at the same time.

Clio’s one-, two- and four-truck carriers

The biggest Clio fleet in FMCSA’s census runs four power units with four drivers; the next has two units and one driver, and the third a single truck. Ten of the town’s carriers are registered for intrastate work only, six cross state lines and six run private fleets hauling their own goods.

Single new carriers registered here in 2024 and again in 2025, per that federal census. Whether you run one truck or a handful, we can collect each from its own yard; list every VIN and where each truck is parked so the trips can be planned together.
