Pole and log loads
Selling a pole trailer rig or lumber tractor in Evergreen
Of the 132 active Evergreen carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, 73 list logs, poles, beams or lumber as cargo they haul. If your tractor has been pulling a log trailer out of the Conecuh County woods, tell us whether the trailer goes with it, and send a photo of each so we know what we are collecting.
Machinery and large objects appear on 41 of those Evergreen carrier registrations, according to the same FMCSA census, and farm supplies on 21. A lowboy tractor or a flatbed that moved equipment between farms and job sites is a truck we buy; have the title and the registration together before you call, so the paperwork side is settled on the first conversation.
Dump trucks from Booker, Cedar Creek and the Castleberry pits
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Booker Pit, a sand and gravel operation 7.3 miles south-west of Evergreen, and Cedar Creek Pit, a crushed-stone quarry 10.9 miles to the south-east. A dump truck that spends its days between those pits and local jobs may well be parked at a pit yard rather than at your home; give us that address and a name for whoever opens the gate.
Toward Castleberry, Pit 31 is an industrial-mineral mine 9.6 miles south-west, on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, with Dawson Pit at 20.6 miles and Andress Pit at 23.5 miles, both to the west. Wherever along that stretch your truck stands, we collect it there; there is no need to bring it into Evergreen first.
Private fleets and small carriers on Evergreen registrations
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 100 intrastate operators and 32 interstate ones among Evergreen’s active carriers, and 53 of them are private fleets hauling their own goods. If your company owns a handful of trucks and is selling one or several, say how many and where each is kept, so one visit can cover them.
Three Evergreen fleets in that FMCSA census stand out by size: one at 50 power units, one at 17 with 12 drivers, and one at 16 with 9 drivers. Selling several units at once works the same way as selling one; we need the VIN, the title and current photos for each tractor.
Registrations on the FMCSA census put 177 drivers inside a 100-mile radius and 78 beyond it, and 31 carriers report a median of 31,000 miles per truck a year. Have your odometer reading ready when you get in touch, since it is among the first details we ask for.
What roadside inspections found on Evergreen tractors
Roadside inspections between September 2024 and August 2026 checked 70 trucks tied to Evergreen carriers, and FMCSA roadside inspection records give their median model year as 2019. Note your truck’s year, make and model before you call; it is the first line of the description we take.
Of those 70 Evergreen trucks, FMCSA roadside inspection records show roughly 24 percent dating from ten or more model years back. Whatever the year on your title, keep the service records you hold together with it; they show us what the truck has done.
Jobs, farms and the air field west of town
Evergreen held 2,133 jobs in 2023, and the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts place 369 of them in transportation and warehousing, beside 257 in manufacturing. Box trucks and straight trucks from that warehousing work fit what we purchase, and a clear photo of the cargo body helps alongside the cab shots.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture records 349 farms across Conecuh County, with cattle, cotton and corn at the top. A grain truck or livestock hauler kept in a barn out in the county can be collected from that farm; send us directions if the lane is hard to find.
Four miles and a tenth west of town sits NOLF Evergreen, an air field the Bureau of Transportation Statistics files as a military installation. County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau show 9 construction establishments in the county, and their dump trucks and flatbeds are part of what we buy in Evergreen.
The Alabama title and the folder that goes with your Conecuh truck
The title in your name is the main document a sale here needs. If it has gone missing, the state’s title agency issues a replacement, and starting that request before you contact us keeps the sale moving.
With the title, gather the registration, any inspection reports and the service history you have kept. Photos of both sides, the cab interior, the tires and the dash with the odometer showing round out what we ask a seller in Evergreen to send.
The questions we get asked in Evergreen
- My log truck sits at a pit below Evergreen. Does it have to come into town for pickup?Booker Pit sits 7.3 miles south-west and Cedar Creek Pit 10.9 miles south-east, per the Mine Safety and Health Administration, and we collect from sites like those. Name the pit and the person holding the gate key, and we meet the truck there.
- We run a small private fleet in Conecuh County. Will you take three or four of our Evergreen trucks together?Private fleets account for 53 of Evergreen’s 132 active carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, and we buy one truck or several from them. Send every VIN with the yard or farm where that unit is parked.
