Aggregate hauled from a pit either side of town
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Lacey’s Spring crushed-stone quarry 9.5 miles west of New Hope and the Guntersville Quarry 11 miles to the south-east. A dump truck or tractor that hauls aggregate out of either pit is a truck we collect, and it can stay on the quarry lot or in your yard while we arrange the pickup. Tell us which pit it works so we know which gate to come to.
Further out, Guntersville Sand, an industrial-mineral mine, is 19.1 miles south of town and the Mine Safety and Health Administration places the Cumberland #1 dimension-stone quarry is 22.6 miles north-east. If your truck is parked at one of those sites rather than at home on the New Hope side, send the site name and a contact who can let us in, along with photos of the cab, the bed or trailer, and the VIN plate.
Guntersville
Where the river port and the license office meet
Guntersville, 14.5 miles south-east, appears in the Bureau of Transportation Statistics as a port, and the same town holds the office that issues Alabama titles for the area. A truck that runs barge freight to and from the river terminal can be collected there or back in New Hope, whichever is easier for you.
Titles here are handled by the Alabama Department of Revenue through its County License Plate Issuing Officials. The nearest listed office is Marshall County, at 425 Gunter Ave., Suite 110, Guntersville, 35976, 14.1 miles from New Hope according to the Alabama Department of Revenue. If the title for your truck is lost, that office is where a replacement starts, and having the registration and your ID with you saves a second trip.
Toward the Arsenal gate
Redstone Arsenal and the intermodal yard to the west
Redstone Arsenal, a military installation, sits 15.4 miles west of town on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics map. If your truck is kept on or near a contractor yard on that side of the county, tell us whether we need an escort or a pass to reach it, so the collection is planned around the gate rules rather than held up at them.
Huntsville Intermodal, 21.1 miles west, is recorded by the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, as a rail yard, and the Bureau lists a rail intermodal ramp at Huntsville too. Day cabs that shuttle containers off that ramp are part of what we take; have the VIN and current registration ready when you get in touch.
New Hope haulers who stay inside Alabama
Of the 27 active New Hope carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, only 3 take loads across the Alabama line while 24 keep to intrastate work. Twenty of the 27 are private fleets hauling their own goods, by that FMCSA count. For an owner selling one truck out of a small yard like that, the registration and any annual inspection records you have are the papers to gather first.
Machinery and large objects is the cargo listed by 13 of those carriers, according to the same federal census, with general freight and grain, feed and hay at 11 each and farm supplies at 10. Lowboys, flatbeds, grain trailers and the tractors that pull them all fit what we buy, so send a photo of the trailer as well as the tractor if both are going.
New Hope yards where the owner signs
The three biggest fleets registered in New Hope run 4, 3 and 3 power units, with 3, 2 and 2 drivers, as FMCSA’s census records them. At that size the owner usually is the person who signs the title, which keeps a sale simple: one signature, one set of keys, one place to collect from.
Carrier records from FMCSA show 39 drivers here working inside a hundred-mile radius and 20 driving past it. Two new carriers registered in 2025 and none in 2024. Whether your truck stays close to New Hope or spends weeks on the road, tell us where it will be parked on the day you want it gone.
Corn, cotton and nine builders
Across Madison County, the 928 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture grow corn, cotton and soybeans as their top crops. Grain trucks and hay haulers often sit at the farm between seasons, and that is fine: we collect from the field gate or the barn, so give us directions that work for a truck and trailer.
County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau records 9 construction establishments in New Hope’s area, and the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 526 jobs here in 2023. A dump truck or flatbed that has worked those job sites is welcome; service records and photos of the bed help us understand it before we arrive.
