Aggregate pits a short haul up Trinity’s north-east side
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Trinity Quarry, a crushed-stone operation, about 2.4 miles north-east of town. Dump trucks and tri-axles that load at a pit that close usually end the day parked at a yard or a driveway in Trinity itself, so when you contact us, give the street address where the truck sleeps and we arrange collection there.
Further out on the same heading, Tanner Quarry appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records roughly 9.6 miles from Trinity. If your truck hauled aggregate between the two pits, photograph the bed, the hoist and the cab, and note the body length; we ask about all three for a stone hauler.
Quarry trucks often change hands inside a family or a small crew. Before you call, check that the name on the Alabama title matches the person signing it; if it does not, sort that out first and the rest of the sale goes smoothly.
Railside, toward the river city
Tankers and rail freight between Trinity and Decatur’s east side
Two rail yards on the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, sit east of town: Mallard at about 3.5 miles and Oakworth at about 5.3 miles. A tractor that shuttled loads to either yard is one we buy, sleeper or day cab, and the registration card plus a clear photo of the VIN plate tell us most of what we need.
Hunt Refining, a liquid bulk terminal that the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places roughly 5.6 miles east, is the other big site on that side of Trinity. If your tractor pulled tankers in and out of it, list any tank inspection or service records you kept, and tell us whether the truck is parked inside a gated lot so we can plan access.
Leaving the truck where it is near the yards is fine. Give us a contact who can meet the driver or open the gate, and the paperwork can be finished from wherever you are.
Longer hauls east
Container work out toward the Huntsville ramp and the arsenal gate
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists the Huntsville rail intermodal ramp about 18.5 miles east of Trinity, and the same agency puts Redstone Arsenal, a military installation, at about 24.2 miles. Container chassis tractors and flatbeds that worked those runs often come home to park in Trinity between jobs.
If yours pulled containers off the Huntsville ramp, send the VIN, the odometer reading and photos of the fifth wheel and the cab. For a truck that made deliveries onto the arsenal, keep any gate or site paperwork with the title; it helps us understand where the truck has worked.
Car haulers, lowboys and freight trucks registered in Trinity
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 72 active carriers based in Trinity, and 45 of them are private fleets moving their own goods, again by that census. If your truck belongs to a business that hauls its own materials, the seller is the business, so have the company officer who signs titles ready.
Among those Trinity carriers, FMCSA lists 17 hauling general freight, 16 hauling motor vehicles, 14 hauling machinery and large objects and 12 doing driveaway or towaway work. Rollbacks, car haulers, lowboys and step-decks all fit that mix, and we take each of them, with or without the trailer.
The same FMCSA census shows 56 carriers here working intrastate and 16 crossing state lines. A truck registered for Alabama-only work needs nothing extra from you; a truck with interstate authority should come with its registration card so we can see where it is plated.
Home by nightfall in Morgan County
Short-radius driving and fleet age
Drivers attached to Trinity carriers are listed in FMCSA’s census as 162 working within 100 miles and 63 going further. Tell us whether the truck you are selling is parked at your shop, your house or a job site, and that is where we come for it.
Thirteen Trinity carriers told FMCSA their yearly mileage, and the middle figure among them came to 10,725 miles per truck. Have the current odometer reading with you when you get in touch, along with the year, make and model.
FMCSA roadside inspection records for 35 trucks from Trinity carriers, inspected between September 2024 and August 2026, show a median model year of 2019, with about 37 percent ten or more years old. Whatever the model year of yours, include it with your photos and we work from there.
Work beside the highway
Construction and factory jobs around town
Construction accounts for 484 of the 1,289 jobs located in Trinity in 2023, according to the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and manufacturing for another 240 by the same count. Dump trucks, boom trucks and flatbeds working job sites belong to the mix we buy here.
Contractors are spread across the county too: 17 construction establishments in Morgan County appear in the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns. If your truck is titled to one of those contractors, have the business name exactly as it appears on the title, and the signer’s authority to sell it.
Outside town, Morgan County held 1,102 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with cattle, soybeans and corn at the top. Grain trucks and livestock haulers kept on a farm can be collected from the farm itself; just tell us which gate to use.
Lee Street in Decatur handles Trinity’s title paperwork

If the title is lost or still lists a lienholder, start the paperwork at that Lee Street office in Decatur before you call us. Bring your registration and photo ID, and ask the clerk which forms apply to a commercial truck.
