Oro Grande kilns and pits within ten miles
ORO GRANDE QUARRY, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration classes as a cement plant, sits 6.2 miles east of Adelanto, with the Victorville Cement Plant at 8 miles in that same direction. A bulk tractor that shuttles between those two gates may sit on a plant lot when you decide to sell; note the lot entrance and who signs vehicles out, and we arrange collection there.
Oro Grande Pit, a sand and gravel operation, is 8.6 miles north-east by Mine Safety and Health Administration records, and Scheerer Quarry lies 10.1 miles east. For a dump truck or transfer rig from those pits, put the title, current registration and any scale tickets or site passes in one folder, then photograph the bed, the cab and the VIN plate.
Minerals
Mineral plants east and west of Adelanto
Protech Minerals, LLC runs a mineral processing plant 9.1 miles east of the city, listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Pneumatic tankers and end dumps that load there can be photographed where they stand; include the trailer plates if a trailer goes with the sale.
Westward, the Mine Safety and Health Administration shows Big Rock Creek Quarry, an industrial-mineral mine, at 24.1 miles. A truck kept out near that quarry can stay there; give us the nearest cross street and a phone number for whoever can meet the crew.
Freight classes on Adelanto filings
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 396 active carriers in Adelanto, and 283 of those declare general freight. Box-trailer tractors and straight trucks from that group need the same short list from you: title in your name, registration card, and the most recent inspection report if you kept it.
Intermodal containers appear on 48 Adelanto carrier filings with FMCSA, while dry bulk commodities and paper products each appear on 37. Tell us whether a chassis, a hopper or a van trailer is part of the deal, so the paperwork lists every unit by its own VIN.
Of those 396 operators, 156 run interstate and 240 keep to intrastate work, according to the federal carrier census, and 51 are private fleets hauling their own goods. An intrastate truck still needs its California registration current when we collect it, so check the sticker date before you call.
Power units, odometers and inspected model years
One Adelanto operation on the FMCSA register runs 155 power units with 150 drivers; the next two list 35 units with 35 drivers and 17 units with 28 drivers. Selling several tractors from one yard works the same as selling one: send a VIN list and a single contact for the gate.
A typical Adelanto truck logs 58,359 miles a year, the median that FMCSA’s carrier census gives across the 115 local carriers reporting mileage. Read the odometer before you contact us and put the figure in your first message along with the engine make.
FMCSA roadside inspection records from 2024-09-05 to 2026-08-27 cover 225 trucks tied to Adelanto, with a median model year of 2018 and 34.22 percent at ten or more years old. Whatever the year on your title, the steps are identical: VIN, photos, and the title holder’s name.
Factories, farms and freight work
Manufacturing accounts for 1,456 of the 5,854 jobs located in Adelanto in 2023, per the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, with 283 in wholesale trade and 144 in transportation and warehousing. Delivery straight trucks and day cabs that serve those plants and warehouses can be picked up from a loading dock, as long as someone there knows we are coming.
Agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting supply 394 local jobs on the LEHD figures, and USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 809 farms across San Bernardino County, with milk, cattle and potted flowering plants leading. A livestock hauler or feed truck parked on a ranch is collected where it sits; send written directions to the gate along with the address.
Titles and construction trucks
County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau records 11 construction establishments in Adelanto, and LEHD counts 96 construction jobs there. Water trucks, flatbeds and dump trucks from those contractors often carry company titles, so have the person named on the title ready to sign.
Lost a California title? The state’s title agency issues the duplicate, and you can apply before we schedule the pickup. Bring the VIN and your identification, and mention any lienholder so the release can be arranged at the same visit.
The questions we get asked in Adelanto
- My dump truck sits on a cement plant lot near Oro Grande; should I haul it back to my Adelanto address before selling?Leave it on the plant lot. The Mine Safety and Health Administration places ORO GRANDE QUARRY 6.2 miles east of Adelanto, and we collect from plant lots like that one; tell us who controls the gate.
- Can I sell a tractor and its container chassis together? They can go as one sale. FMCSA’s carrier census shows 48 Adelanto carriers hauling intermodal containers, and a chassis can go in with the tractor if you send its VIN and plate.
- My fleet has more than a dozen trucks. Will you collect the whole Adelanto yard at once?A whole yard is fine. FMCSA lists Adelanto operations running 17, 35 and 155 power units; send one list of VINs and the yard address and we plan the collection from there.
