Gravel plants and a quarry within five miles
Just 2.7 miles north-west of Citrus, the Reliance Plant sand and gravel operation is on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list of active sites. A dump truck or transfer rig that runs loads out of that plant may still be parked on site when you decide to sell, so give us the plant gate and a name to call there.
Azusa Rock, a crushed-stone quarry, is 3.5 miles north-west on the Mine Safety and Health Administration register, and Irwindale Aggregates, another sand and gravel operation, is 4.7 miles west on that same federal mine register. If your truck hauled from either one, send the title, the current California registration and photos of the bed, the cab and the VIN plate together, so we can match the paperwork to the truck in one look.
Further out, Cucamonga Creek Mine, an industrial-mineral mine, sits 14.6 miles east according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration. A truck kept near that end of the valley does not need to come back to Citrus first; tell us the yard address and whether a lowboy or a tow can reach it.
The City of Industry ramp and the yards south of town
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Los Angeles - City of Industry rail intermodal ramp, 7.6 miles from Citrus. Day cabs that shuttle containers off that ramp are trucks we purchase; have the title and the last annual inspection sheet ready when you call.
The COI Intermodal Terminal Yard, also 7.6 miles south, and Rowland Yard, 8.1 miles south, both appear on the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. If your tractor is parked in a drayage lot near those yards, tell us whose lot it is, so collection can be cleared with them before anyone arrives.
For tank work, Savage Service Corp, a liquid bulk terminal, is 14.4 miles south-west on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics list. Send the service records for a tractor that pulled tank trailers to Savage, or, without them, a list of the products it carried and the trailers it coupled to.
A small job base and county farms
Citrus itself held 321 jobs in 2023 on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, so most trucks garaged here work somewhere else during the day. That means the truck may be at home on your street or at a jobsite in a neighbouring city; either address works for a pickup.
Los Angeles County had 766 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with potted flowering plants, mushrooms and equine operations at the top of the list. A box truck or flatbed that moved nursery stock or hay in the county is something we buy too; photos of the body and the cargo floor help us describe it back to you accurately.
Citrus paperwork and the CARB rule status
A lost title for a Citrus truck is replaced through California’s state title agency before the sale closes. If a lender is still listed on your Citrus truck’s title, have the lien release in hand, or tell us the lender’s name so it can be settled at signing.
The California Air Resources Board’s Advanced Clean Fleets drayage and high-priority fleet requirements are listed as repealed, the 2036 zero-emission sales requirement has enforcement paused under a federal court filing, and the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation is marked as contested. None of those changes what you send us: the title, the registration card and clear photos of the truck where it sits.
The questions we get asked in Citrus
- Can my dump truck be picked up from the Azusa Rock quarry yard instead of my driveway in Citrus?Azusa Rock is 3.5 miles north-west of Citrus on the Mine Safety and Health Administration register, and we collect from plant yards like it. Pass along who at the quarry office opens the yard and on which weekdays.
- Is a container day cab from the City of Industry ramp something you take? The City of Industry intermodal ramp, 7.6 miles south on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics list, is served by day cabs, and those are trucks we purchase. Start with the VIN, then the title and pictures of the tractor parked near Rowland or wherever it is.
- The title for the rig I keep in Citrus was lost in a move, so how do I sell it?A duplicate for a truck registered in Citrus comes from California’s state title agency. Tell us early and we will hold the paperwork until it arrives.
