General freight, produce and reefer loads out of Dinuba
Of the 341 active carriers with a Dinuba address in FMCSA’s carrier census, 163 put general freight on their cargo list. If yours is one of those general freight tractors, have the title and current registration in the same name before you call, and the sale can move straight to arranging collection.
Fresh produce is listed by 83 Dinuba carriers in the federal carrier census, with refrigerated food and meat each named by 39. A reefer unit adds its own paperwork to a sale: keep the reefer’s hour readings and any service sheets for the cooling unit with the tractor’s records, and photograph the unit’s plate along with the cab.
Of those 341 carriers, the FMCSA census shows 296 running intrastate only, 43 crossing state lines and 80 registered as private fleets hauling their own goods. A packing shed or farm that owns its trucks can sell one to us the same way an owner-operator does; we need the titled owner’s signature, so tell us early if the truck is titled to a business.
How far the town’s trucks travel
Dinuba carriers report 361 drivers working within 100 miles of home and 377 going beyond that radius, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. A long-haul tractor may well be parked away from Tulare County when you decide to sell, so give us the address where it actually sits and a phone number for whoever can let us reach it.
Among 75 local carriers that report annual mileage to FMCSA, the median comes to 38,000 miles per truck. Write the odometer reading down from the dash on the day you contact us, and photograph it, so the figure you give matches the one we see at pickup.
The biggest fleets based here are small: the federal carrier census lists the top three at 19, 15 and 14 power units. Whether you run one truck or a yard of them, each unit is handled with its own title and VIN, so list every VIN when more than one truck is going.
What Tulare County roadside inspections show about Dinuba trucks
Between late August 2024 and late August 2026, inspectors stopped 165 Dinuba-based trucks, and FMCSA roadside inspection records put the median build at model year 2017. Give us the model year off the title rather than from memory, since that is the one that goes on the bill of sale.
Just over four in ten of those 165 stopped trucks, 41.2 percent in FMCSA’s roadside inspection records, carried a model year ten or more years back. Older or newer, the steps are the same: title, registration, VIN, and photos of the cab, frame, tires and engine bay.
Gravel pits, bulk terminals and rail yards nearby
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Orosi Quarry, a sand and gravel operation, 8.5 miles east of Dinuba, with the Sanger Aggregate Plant 10.5 miles north-west and the Sanger Plant at 13.5 miles in the same direction. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that works those pits can stay at the quarry yard for collection; just tell us who manages the gate.
Two liquid bulk terminals appear in Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings within 15 miles of town: Western Milling LLC at 13.1 miles south and Van-G Logistics at 14.2 miles west. If your tanker tractor is parked at either site, send us the site name with your photos and we will plan the pickup there.
Further out, the Energy Information Administration lists the Fresno petroleum product terminal 21.2 miles west, and the North American Rail Network puts Exeter Yard 22.7 miles south-east and Calwa Yard 22.8 miles north-west. A fuel hauler or container tractor left near one of those points does not need to be driven back to Dinuba before we collect it.
Farm, factory and construction jobs in Dinuba
Manufacturing accounts for 1,971 of Dinuba’s 7,691 jobs in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023, and agriculture, forestry and fishing for another 1,384. Trucks that serve plants and fields often belong to the business rather than the driver, so check whose name is on the title before you start.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 3,713 farms in Tulare County, where milk, cattle and corn lead the list. A milk tanker, cattle hauler or grain truck from one of those operations is something we buy; photograph the body or trailer coupling as well as the tractor so we know the full setup.
County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau show 28 construction establishments and 5 warehousing establishments in the Dinuba area, and the LEHD figures put construction at 190 jobs and transportation and warehousing at 295. Box trucks, flatbeds and dump bodies from that work are all on our list.
The questions we get asked in Dinuba
- Can you collect an end-dump that is still parked at the sand and gravel quarry out past Orosi, without me hauling it back to Dinuba? The Orosi Quarry is 8.5 miles east of Dinuba on Mine Safety and Health Administration listings, and we collect from there. Tell us who runs the quarry gate so the pickup is arranged with them.
- If the paper title for a tractor I keep in Dinuba was lost in a move, which office issues the duplicate I need before selling?Dinuba trucks are titled through California’s title agency, so a replacement comes from that office. Start the duplicate request before you sell, and tell us it is in progress when you contact us.
- Our Tulare County dairy holds the truck’s title in the business name, so who signs it over to you?USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 3,713 farms in Tulare County, and many of their trucks are titled to the business. An authorised signer for the business signs the title, and we need their name and contact details.
- What should I have ready for a reefer tractor? With 83 Dinuba carriers hauling fresh produce on FMCSA’s carrier census, reefers are common here. Have the title, registration, the reefer unit’s hour reading and photos of the cab, unit and tires.
