Rail to the north-east
Mira Loma Yard and the auto-transfer tracks
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places Mira Loma Yard and the UP Auto-Transfer Terminal Yard side by side, 4.9 miles north-east of Eastvale. A tractor that shuttles boxes off those tracks may be sitting in a yard lot rather than a driveway, so send us the lot address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
Of the Eastvale carriers on FMCSA’s carrier census, 92 list intermodal containers as a cargo they haul. If yours is one of them, photograph the cab, the VIN plate and the chassis connections, and keep the registration card in the truck so it travels with it when we collect.
Warehouse jobs
Half the local jobs move goods
Transportation and warehousing accounted for 10,125 of the 20,530 jobs counted in Eastvale in 2023, a 49.3 percent share in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Box trucks and day cabs that run between distribution buildings are the everyday vehicles of that work, and we buy both.
Wholesale trade added 1,148 jobs that same year according to LEHD, while County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau records 6 warehousing establishments in the area. If your truck is parked at a dock behind one of those buildings, tell us the dock number and the hours the yard is open so collection fits around shift changes.
Aggregate sites south-east toward Corona
South-east of town, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists All American Aggregates at 7.3 miles and the Corona Plant at 7.9 miles, both sand and gravel operations. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that load at those pits can stay where they are; give us the site name and a contact on the scale house.
Further out on the same bearing, MSHA records the 3M Corona Plant, a crushed-stone quarry, at 8.9 miles, and Eagle Valley, an industrial-mineral mine, at 10.4 miles. Construction employed 842 people locally in 2023 by LEHD’s figures, and County Business Patterns counts 142 construction establishments; a contractor selling a mixer or a flatbed should have the title in the company name ready to sign.
Local carriers and their routes
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 617 active carriers based in Eastvale, and 540 of them haul general freight. The same census splits them into 381 interstate and 236 intrastate operators, with 51 running private fleets for their own goods, so an owner-operator and a small company both sell to us the same way: title, registration and photos.
Drivers working inside a 100-mile radius number 632 on the FMCSA census, against 1,077 who go beyond it. If the truck is out on a long run when you contact us, tell us where it will be parked next and we arrange pickup there rather than in Eastvale.
Across 302 carriers reporting it, the median annual distance per truck sits at 60,000 miles in FMCSA’s census records. New registrations kept arriving too: the census logs 55 new carriers in 2024 and 59 in 2025, and the biggest local fleet runs 30 power units, so a fleet selling several tractors at once can send one list of VINs.
Model years seen at roadside stops
Eastvale-based carriers had 918 trucks stopped for roadside inspection from August 2024 to August 2026, and FMCSA’s inspection records put the median model year of that group at 2020. Older and newer units are both welcome; put the model year and VIN in your first message.
Those inspection records put 14.05 percent of the inspected trucks at ten or more model years old. Whatever the year, the title has to be in the seller’s name; if it is lost, request a duplicate from the state’s title agency before we schedule the collection.
Chilled loads and fuel
Dairy, mushrooms and the Fontana terminal
Riverside County dairies, mushroom growers and cotton fields lead a farm count of 2,424 in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Locally, 64 carriers on the FMCSA census haul refrigerated food and 64 haul meat; a reefer tractor sells to us with or without its trailer, so tell us which you are offering.
The Energy Information Administration places the Fontana Plant, a petroleum product terminal, 9.1 miles north-east of Eastvale. For fuel and tank units that load there, include the tank’s placard class and any hazmat paperwork you hold, which tells us what the truck carried before we see it.
The questions we get asked in Eastvale
- My tractor is parked by the rail yards in Mira Loma. Is a trip from the Mira Loma lot into town part of the deal?Leave the tractor at the Mira Loma lot. Mira Loma Yard is 4.9 miles north-east of Eastvale on the North American Rail Network, and we collect from the lot where the truck sits. Tell us who controls access.
- My truck works near the Norco naval detachment. Can you collect it close to there? We can collect it near Norco. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment Norco 2.8 miles south of Eastvale; give us an address outside any gated area where the truck can be reached.
- Does California’s drayage fleet rule stop me from selling a container tractor? The California Air Resources Board lists the Advanced Clean Fleets drayage and high-priority fleet requirements as repealed. Send the VIN and registration card with your photos and we will ask about anything else.
