Stone and gravel from Soiland and Roblar
Soiland Co., Inc. runs a crushed-stone quarry 12.4 miles west of Eldridge, as the Mine Safety and Health Administration records it. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that has spent its shifts there can stay parked at the yard or at your place in town; send us the address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
Farther out on the same side, Roblar Quarry LLC appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration listings as a sand and gravel operation 16.1 miles west. If your truck hauled aggregate from Roblar, photograph the bed, the cab and the VIN plate in daylight and send them with the registration card, so we see the whole truck before we talk.
Mark West Quarry and the haul north-west
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Mark West Quarry, a crushed-stone site, 17.1 miles north-west of town. Owners of transfer trucks and belly-dump trailers on that run can leave the tractor parked at the quarry lot or at home, and we collect it from whichever address you give us.
Keep the service log in the cab if you have one. For a truck that has gone back and forth between Mark West and job sites around Santa Rosa, the log and the current registration answer most of what we ask, and the rest comes down to clear photos of the frame and tires.
Over the hills east
Rail yards and a mineral mine east of Eldridge
East of Eldridge by 12.5 miles, the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows NAPA YARD. Napa Quarry, an industrial-mineral mine, lies 13.5 miles in that direction on Mine Safety and Health Administration records. A flatbed or dump truck based on the Napa side is collected from there; give us the street address and the hours the lot is open.
LOMBARD YARD, a second rail yard on the North American Rail Network, is 16.4 miles south-east of town. If your truck spends its days shuttling between Lombard and Napa, tell us which yard it will be parked at on the day you want it gone, and have the title and keys together at that spot.
Down toward the bay
SELBYCROCKETT and the fuel run from Eldridge
SELBYCROCKETT, a petroleum product terminal on Energy Information Administration records, lies 24.2 miles south-east of Eldridge toward the bay.
With a tank tractor, send the VIN, the registration and any terminal access paperwork you still hold. If the trailer is coming with the tractor, list it separately with its own VIN, since it carries its own title.
Milk, cattle and flowers
Milk barns, cattle and flower fields around Eldridge
Across the county, 3,097 farms were counted in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with milk, cattle and cut flowers leading their sales. Bulk milk tractors, livestock haulers and refrigerated box trucks carrying flowers all work the roads around Eldridge, and each of them is a truck we collect from the farm itself.
On a ranch or dairy, the truck often sits by the barn or the loading chute rather than on a paved lot. Tell us how to reach it, whether the gate is locked, and who will be there to hand over the keys and the signed title.
Petaluma’s field office, nine miles from Eldridge
California titles are handled through DMV field offices. The State of California Department of Motor Vehicles lists its Petaluma office at 715 - J Southpoint Boulevard, Petaluma, 94954, about 9.2 miles from Eldridge.
If the title is lost or still shows a lienholder, Petaluma is the place to sort it out before the sale. Bring the registration and your ID, ask for a duplicate or a lien release, and tell us once it is in hand so the paperwork lines up with the truck.
California clean-truck rules for Eldridge owners
The California Air Resources Board’s Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation is under legal challenge, and federal court records show that the state’s requirement for all new medium- and heavy-duty sales to be zero-emission by 2036 has its enforcement paused.
Eldridge owners should also know that the drayage, high-priority and federal fleet requirements of the Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation have been repealed, according to the Air Resources Board. A diesel tractor from this valley can still be sold to us with its normal California title and registration.
