Sell your semi truck for cash in Hoopa the easy and convenient way

We buy all commercial trucks — sleeper trucks, service bodies, log trucks, day cabs, dump trucks and grain hauls.

Hoopa sits in the Hoopa Valley, where log trucks, gravel haulers and equipment trailers share the valley road with the town’s own work trucks. If one of them is yours and it is ready to go, we collect it where it sits.

Seven of eighteen Hoopa carriers haul timber

Of the 18 active motor carriers based in Hoopa on FMCSA’s carrier census, seven list logs, poles, beams and lumber as cargo they haul. A log truck sold from here is often parked at a landing, a yard off the highway or beside the owner’s house, so tell us which, and whether a loaded trailer still sits behind it.

Six Hoopa operators record general freight with FMCSA and four record machinery and large objects, so lowboys and flatbed tractors belong on the same list as log rigs. Send the VIN, a photo of each side of the tractor and one of the trailer deck, and say whether the trailer is part of the sale.

Valley-bound routes

Most Hoopa operators run inside California

Sixteen of the town’s carriers are registered for intrastate work and two for interstate hauling, per FMCSA’s census, and eight of them run as private fleets carrying their own goods. For an intrastate truck, the California registration card and the title are the two papers we ask to see first.

Two passenger carriers also appear in the FMCSA listing for Hoopa, so a bus or shuttle van is something we can collect here too. A private-fleet owner selling a single unit should tell us which business holds the title, so the name on the paperwork matches the seller.

Small outfits with a handful of trucks each

Hoopa’s biggest carrier on the FMCSA census runs seven power units with fourteen drivers; another runs seven trucks with seven drivers, and a third runs five units with three drivers. If you are selling two or three units from a fleet that size, list each VIN separately and tell us where every truck is parked.

Hoopa gained two freshly registered carriers in 2024 and one more in 2025 on FMCSA’s census. A newer operator who bought a used truck should check that the title was signed over when it changed hands, since we need the current owner’s name on it.

Duplicate titles come from the Eureka field office on Sixth Street

The State of California Department of Motor Vehicles handles titles through its DMV field offices, and the Eureka office at 2500 6th St, Eureka, 95501 is about 30.1 miles from Hoopa. A seller whose title has gone missing can apply for a duplicate there before the pickup.

If the title still shows a lienholder, bring the lien release along to the Eureka field office or keep it with the truck. Have the registration, any service records and the keys together on collection day.

Gravel and quarries

Pits just south of the valley

The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Hoopa Valley Tribe Roads Department sand and gravel operation about 3.9 miles south-east of town. Dump trucks and end dumps that haul from a pit like that are trucks we buy; if yours is parked at the pit, give us a contact who can let us in.

Further out, Ford Quarries, a crushed-stone quarry, lies about 20 miles south-west, and the CHRISTIE BAR sand and gravel operation is 20.5 miles in the same direction, both on MSHA’s mine register. If your truck is parked at either site, tell us which one and we will arrange the pickup there.

Jobs, builders and Humboldt County dairies

Hoopa counted 896 jobs in 2023 according to the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and County Business Patterns lists three construction establishments in the area. Contractors’ dump trucks, service bodies and flatbeds from that work can be sold to us from the job site or the shop.

Across Humboldt County, 721 farms appear in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with milk, cattle and hemp as the leading products. Livestock haulers, milk tankers and farm flatbeds from those operations are on our list; tell us which ranch or dairy the truck is parked on.

Selling a Hoopa diesel under today’s emissions rulings

Among the California Air Resources Board’s truck rules, the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation is contested, and for the 2036 100 Percent Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicle Sales Requirements, enforcement is paused. A Hoopa owner selling a diesel tractor does not need to settle either question before we collect it.

The Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation - Drayage Fleet Requirements and High Priority and Federal Fleets Requirements has been repealed by the California Air Resources Board. Owners in town who held off on a sale while that rule stood can send us the VIN and photos now.
