Orchards and dairies
Produce, milk and the trucks that carry them
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture puts 3,713 farms in Tulare County, with milk, cattle and corn as the leading products. If your truck has spent its seasons hauling between dairies, feed yards and fields around Ivanhoe, tell us which loads it pulled and what body or trailer goes with it, so we know what we are collecting before we arrive.
Of the 744 jobs located in Ivanhoe, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023 place 447, or 60.1 percent, in agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting. A truck that works that kind of season often sits parked at a ranch or packing yard between harvests; give us that address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
Fresh produce is listed by 16 Ivanhoe carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, farm supplies by 4 and refrigerated food by 2. If yours is a reefer unit or a tractor that pulled one, include the trailer details and any service records for the refrigeration unit along with the truck’s own paperwork.
Foothill pits
Quarries and pits in the foothills
Kaweah South, a sand and gravel operation 7.8 miles east of town, appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records, as does LEMONCOVE GRANITE, a crushed-stone quarry 11.8 miles out in the same direction. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that cycle between those sites and job sites in the valley are trucks we collect, and we can pick one up at the pit if that is where it is parked.
North of Ivanhoe, the Orosi Quarry sand and gravel operation sits 11.9 miles away, and the Decomposed Granite Pit (LG) is 24.7 miles to the south-east, both on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list. Before a pickup at a mine or quarry, check whether the site needs a visitor escort and pass that contact to us along with the truck’s location.
Only 3 construction establishments operate from Ivanhoe in the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns, so most builders’ trucks here belong to small outfits. If a small contractor’s truck is what you are selling, a clear title and current registration are the two papers to find first; photos of the bed, the hoist and the cab finish the picture.
Exeter Yard and the liquid bulk terminal to the west
Head 7.8 miles south-east of Ivanhoe and you reach EXETER YARD, which the North American Rail Network from the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records as a rail yard. Tractors that shuttle loads to and from a rail yard tend to stay close to it, so if yours is parked near Exeter, tell us the cross streets and we will plan the collection there.
Western Milling LLC runs a liquid bulk terminal 11.4 miles west of town, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A tanker or a tractor that pulled one out of that terminal should come with its tank paperwork and any wash or inspection records you kept, since those answer most of our questions about the truck at once.
Forty-nine in-state operators and thirteen private fleets
Ivanhoe’s carriers are mostly local: FMCSA’s carrier census lists 49 intrastate operators, 3 interstate ones and 13 private fleets that haul their own goods. On FMCSA’s carrier census, the leading fleet in town runs 14 power units with 14 drivers, the next 10 power units with 11 drivers, and a third runs 6 power units with 15 drivers. Whether you are selling a single tractor or several units from a fleet that size, send the VINs together and we will arrange them as one collection.
Driver records in the same federal census place 61 drivers working within 100 miles of base and 44 going beyond it. Among the 15 carriers that reported mileage, the median works out to 16,667 miles per truck, as filed with FMCSA. Have the odometer reading ready when you call; it is the first figure we ask for after the VIN.
New registrations stay steady, with 3 new carriers in 2024 and 3 more in 2025 on FMCSA’s carrier census. If you started a small operation in those years and are now selling the truck, the title in your name or your company’s name is the document that matters, along with proof that any loan on it has been released.
Tulare roadside checks
A 2015 median among Ivanhoe’s inspected trucks
FMCSA roadside inspection records cover 25 Ivanhoe trucks stopped from August 2024 to August 2026; their median model year is 2015, and 52 percent carry a model year ten or more years back. We collect trucks across that whole range, so the model year on your title is simply one more detail to send.
A roadside report from a stop on a Tulare County route belongs in the folder with your title. It shows us where the truck has been working, and if the title itself has gone missing, request a duplicate from the state’s title agency before we schedule the pickup.
ACT, ACF and the 2036 sales rule for Ivanhoe owners
The California Air Resources Board’s rulemaking record lists the Advanced Clean Fleets drayage and high priority and federal fleets requirements as repealed. Enforcement of the 2036 rule requiring every new medium- and heavy-duty sale to be zero-emission is on hold, according to a court record filed in the Eastern District of California.
The Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation is listed as contested, following amendments the Air Resources Board approved. None of those rules changes what we need from an Ivanhoe seller: the title, the registration, the VIN and a set of clear photos.
The questions we get asked in Ivanhoe
- Is a dump truck sitting at the granite quarry east of Ivanhoe something you collect on site?LEMONCOVE GRANITE sits 11.8 miles east of Ivanhoe on Mine Safety and Health Administration records, and we collect from the site. Give us the gate contact and any visitor rules the quarry sets.
- For a tractor that hauled produce to Tulare County packing sheds, what goes in the first message to you?Sixteen Ivanhoe carriers list fresh produce in FMCSA’s carrier census, so that kind of truck is common here. Send the VIN, the odometer reading, the title and photos of the cab, frame and any reefer unit.
- If the title for an Ivanhoe truck has gone missing, which office replaces it?Tulare County titles are handled by the state’s title agency, which issues a duplicate to the registered owner. Start that request before the pickup so the paperwork is ready when we arrive.
- Can you collect a truck from a dairy or ranch outside town?Milk and cattle lead Tulare County’s 3,713 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and plenty of trucks are kept on those properties. Tell us the ranch address and who can meet us there.
