Produce, feed and freight haulers based in Lindsay
Lindsay is home base for 322 active trucking carriers, going by FMCSA’s carrier census. That federal census shows 143 of them reporting general freight, 60 fresh produce, 27 farm supplies and 21 grain, feed or hay. If your tractor has pulled reefers or flatbeds of produce, tell us the trailer type it worked with and whether the trailer comes with it.
Most of these operators stay inside the state: the same federal census counts 290 intrastate carriers against 32 interstate ones, plus 42 private fleets that move their own goods. An intrastate truck will normally carry California registration only, so send a photo of the current registration card along with the title when you first contact us.
New authorities keep appearing in town as well, with FMCSA records showing 16 carriers registered here in 2024 and 7 in 2025. If you are a small operator closing down a one-truck business, have your USDOT number handy; it lets us match the truck to the carrier it ran under.
Median 2015: the trucks inspected from Lindsay
Roadside inspection records from FMCSA covering 155 Lindsay-based trucks between September 2024 and August 2026 put the median model year at 2015, with 52 percent of them ten or more model years old. Whatever year yours is, the plate on the door jamb and the VIN on the title are the two things we read first, so photograph both clearly.
The 72 Lindsay carriers that file yearly mileage with FMCSA put a typical truck at 50,000 miles a year, the median of what they report. Write the odometer reading down on the day you contact us and include a picture of the dash, so the figure we work from is the one on the truck.
The federal carrier census also splits local drivers by range, with 133 working within 100 miles of base and 472 going beyond it. A truck that runs long hauls may be parked away from Lindsay when you sell; give us the address where it actually sits and we will collect it there.
Milk, cattle and corn: hauling for county farms
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 3,713 farms in Tulare County, and lists milk, cattle and corn as the county’s top products. Feed haulers, livestock rigs and bulk tankers that serve those dairies are trucks we purchase, and the farm gate or yard where yours is kept is a fine place for us to pick it up.
Agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting account for 383 of the 3,024 jobs located in Lindsay, a 12.7 percent share in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023. If the truck belongs to a farm or ranch rather than a for-hire carrier, the title may be in the farm’s business name; check whose name appears on it before we schedule anything.
About 21 miles north-west, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Western Milling LLC as a liquid bulk terminal. If your tanker or feed truck was based out at that end of the county, tell us which yard it lives in and who holds the gate key.
Granite and gravel pits near Lindsay
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Decomposed Granite Pit (LG), a crushed-stone quarry 11.2 miles south-east of town, and LEMONCOVE GRANITE, another crushed-stone site 12.8 miles to the north-east. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that haul from pits like these are welcome here; note the body type and bed length when you write to us.
Sand and gravel come out of Kaweah South, 12 miles north, and the TULE RIVER/SUCCESS DAM operation, 14.2 miles to the south-east, according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration. A truck kept on a quarry lot can usually be collected there, but site rules vary, so send us the name of whoever can let our driver in.
Lindsay holds 24 construction establishments in County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau, and the LEHD figures place 55 construction jobs and 155 manufacturing jobs in town. If your truck belongs to a contractor, gather the title, the registration and any service invoices in one folder before the pickup.
Exeter Yard and the rail line north of town
EXETER YARD, a rail yard 6.3 miles north-west of Lindsay, appears on the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Day cabs that shuttle loads between local sheds and that yard fit what we buy; tell us whether yours has a sleeper or not.
Whether the truck is parked at the yard, at a shed in town or at your house, we arrange collection where it stands. A clear photo of each side, the cab interior and the tires gives us what we need to start talking with you.
Duplicate titles and CARB
Replacing a title and where the CARB truck rules stand
In California the state’s title agency issues a duplicate title to the registered owner. Put that request in before calling us if yours has gone missing, and mention it is in progress so we know which document to expect.
On the Air Resources Board’s list, the drayage and high-priority fleet requirements of Advanced Clean Fleets are repealed and the amended Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation is contested. A federal court record shows enforcement paused on the 2036 rule that would make every medium- and heavy-duty sale zero-emission. A Lindsay owner can sell us a diesel truck regardless; bring the registration that shows its engine and model year.
The questions we get asked in Lindsay
- My truck sits at the LEMONCOVE GRANITE quarry lot, so do I need to move it before you collect?LEMONCOVE GRANITE is 12.8 miles north-east of Lindsay on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, and we collect trucks from quarry lots like that one. Send the name and number of the person at the quarry who can let our driver onto the lot.
- Our Tulare County dairy holds the title on the truck instead of me personally, so who signs the sale?Tulare County has 3,713 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with milk at the top, so farm-titled trucks are common around Lindsay. Whoever is authorised to sign for the business named on the title signs the sale.
- I only ever drove within California. Does the truck need interstate paperwork?Lindsay has 290 intrastate carriers out of 322 in FMCSA’s carrier census, so a California-only registration is normal here. The title and current registration are what we ask for.
