Kilns to the north-east
Cement plants on the Victorville side
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Victorville Cement Plant 4.5 miles north-east of Mountain View Acres, and ORO GRANDE QUARRY, another cement plant, 7.5 miles to the north. If yours has loaded at either plant, tell us which trailer it pulled and whether the trailer is part of the sale.
A tractor that shuttles between a kiln and a batch plant is often parked at a yard rather than a driveway. Give us the yard address, the name of whoever controls the gate and a phone number for them, and we arrange the pickup there so you never have to move the truck yourself.
Pits along the haul
Pit and quarry trucks around Scheerer and Oro Grande
Scheerer Quarry, a sand and gravel operation 7.1 miles north-east, and Oro Grande Pit, another one 12.2 miles north of town, both appear in the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s listings. Tandem dumps, transfer rigs and end-dump tractors are what aggregate pits like these put on the road. Send a clear photo of the bed or trailer along with the cab and the VIN plate.
Farther out, Omya California runs a crushed-stone quarry 24.1 miles east, according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration. A truck that worked the stone haul from out there can stay wherever it was last parked; give us the location, and say whether a lowboy or a driver will be needed to collect it.
Protech Minerals and the plant traffic
Protech Minerals, LLC is a mineral processing plant 4.1 miles north-east of town on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list. Trucks that feed a processing plant tend to run short loops on site roads and county roads, so describe that pattern when you tell us how the truck was used.
Any site paperwork you kept helps here: plant gate passes, scale tickets showing the routes, the annual inspection report and service invoices. None of it is required to start a sale, but it fills in the history that photos alone leave out.
Milk and cattle haulers
Dairy, cattle and the local workforce
In San Bernardino County, USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 809 farms, with milk, cattle and potted flowering plants as the leading products. Milk tankers, livestock haulers and refrigerated box trucks are the vehicles that kind of farming keeps busy, and we take all three.
Mountain View Acres held 337 jobs in 2023, a modest workplace figure from the Census Bureau’s LEHD counts. A town that size usually means an owner-operator or a small fleet parking a truck at home, so tell us whether it sits on a residential street or a private lot and how much room there is to load it.
Rule rollbacks
Diesel sales under the current CARB rulings
The California Air Resources Board’s Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation is listed as contested, and enforcement of the 2036 zero-emission sales requirement for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles is paused under a federal court ruling. Neither status stops you selling a diesel truck you own in Mountain View Acres.
CARB’s drayage, high priority and federal fleet requirements under the Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation have been repealed. Tell us the truck’s model year and engine family when you contact us, and keep any CARB reporting paperwork with the title.
Title and registration before pickup
Have the title in the registered owner’s name, the current registration card and a photo ID ready before the day we collect. If a bank or finance company still holds a lien, give us its name and the account contact so the release can be sorted out alongside the sale.
A lost title is replaced through the state’s title agency, so start that request as soon as you decide to sell. Tell us at the outset if the title is missing; we can talk through the steps while the replacement is on its way.
The questions we get asked in Mountain View Acres
- Can you collect my end dump from the Oro Grande Pit lot instead of my house?Oro Grande Pit lies 12.2 miles north of Mountain View Acres on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and we collect from there. Give us the pit’s address and the name of the person who can let our driver through the gate.
- I hauled cement for the Victorville plant. Do you take bulk tankers as well as the tractor?Bulk tankers and the tractors that pull them both qualify, and the Victorville Cement Plant sits 4.5 miles north-east of town in Mine Safety and Health Administration records. Tell us whether you are selling the tractor alone or the tractor and trailer together.
- Do the California clean truck rules stop me selling my diesel?California Air Resources Board records show the Advanced Clean Fleets drayage and fleet requirements repealed and the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation contested, so a diesel you own can be sold. Send us the VIN and the model year to get started.
- I farm dairy cattle in San Bernardino County. Would you take a milk tanker off a San Bernardino County dairy?Milk and cattle top the county’s list in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and the tankers and livestock rigs that serve those 809 farms are trucks we purchase. Send photos of the tank or trailer along with the tractor.
