Sell your semi truck for cash in Oceanside the easy and convenient way

We buy all commercial trucks — sleeper trucks, day cabs, dump trucks, reefers and service bodies.

Oceanside sits on the north San Diego County coast between the rail yards at East Brook and Stuart Mesa, the gates of Camp Pendleton and the quarries inland toward Twin Oaks, and the trucks registered here haul freight, refuse, household moves and produce across that stretch.

Freight, refuse, moving vans and produce

Of the 717 active carriers headquartered in Oceanside, 230 haul general freight, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. If your tractor or box truck pulled general freight for one of those operations, have the title in hand and a recent photo of the VIN plate on the door jamb before you contact us.

Refuse is the second line on that list: 33 Oceanside carriers report garbage, refuse and trash, 32 report household goods and 31 report fresh produce, all according to the same FMCSA census. A roll-off, a moving van and a reefer each get photographed differently, so send pictures of the body or the reefer unit as well as the cab and tell us which of these jobs the truck did.

Of those 717 carriers, FMCSA lists 648 as intrastate and 68 as interstate, and 218 run as private fleets hauling their own goods. A private-fleet truck is often titled to the parent business rather than to a driver, so check whose name is on the California title and who can sign it before we set a pickup.

From one-truck owners to big fleets

Three fleets registered in Oceanside report 198, 106 and 73 power units to FMCSA’s carrier census, with 201, 92 and 50 drivers. If you manage a fleet that size and are letting several units go together, list each VIN and where it is parked, and we can plan one collection around the yard.

The same census shows 20 new carriers registering here in 2025 and 24 in 2024. A newer operation selling its first truck needs the same paperwork as an established one: the signed title, current registration, and the name of the lender if a loan is still open on it.

Among 114 Oceanside carriers that report mileage, FMCSA’s census puts the median at 18,000 miles a truck per year. Read the odometer and write it down along with the VIN when you first get in touch; those two figures answer most of our early questions.

Local routes, longer runs and one low bridge

Drivers working for Oceanside carriers split almost evenly by radius: FMCSA records 1,197 who stay within 100 miles and 1,081 who go beyond it. If your truck is out on a longer run when you decide to sell, tell us where it will be parked when it gets back and we will collect it there.

The National Bridge Inventory lists 70 bridges in Oceanside, none of them load-posted, and one under 14 feet: Pacific Terrace over Cassidy Street, at 13 feet 5 inches. If the truck is parked near that crossing, mention it so the route in for collection avoids the low clearance.

East Brook Yard sits 4.9 miles west of the city and Stuart Mesa Yard 6.4 miles west, both listed in the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A day cab that has worked those yards can be collected where it stands; give us the gate details and a contact who can let us in.

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton 5.3 miles west and the Fallbrook installation 9.4 miles north. If your truck is parked on or beside base property, find out in advance what access a visiting driver needs, and pass that along with the address.

Quarries inland from the coast

Inland, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Superior Twin Oaks crushed-stone quarry 7.2 miles east, the Jerry Brown dimension-stone quarry 17 miles east and the Oceanview Mine, an industrial-mineral site, 18.7 miles north-east. A dump truck or tractor parked at one of those sites can be picked up there; send photos of the bed or trailer and the frame with the cab.

West Coast Rock and Sand, a sand and gravel operation the Mine Safety and Health Administration places 24.7 miles south-east, is further out still. Tell us whether the truck is inside a pit or by the scale house, and who on site can hand over the keys.

Jobs, builders and growers around Oceanside

The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023 put 47,614 jobs in Oceanside, with 5,207 in manufacturing, 2,892 in construction, 1,384 in wholesale trade and 1,283 in transportation and warehousing. Box trucks and straight trucks from those trades are on the list of what we purchase; have the registration card and any service records ready.

Oceanside has 301 construction firms against just 4 warehousing establishments, in the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns. Across San Diego County, USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 4,031 farms, led by foliage plants, potted flowering plants and cut flowers; a nursery delivery truck sells the same way as a flatbed, starting with its title and photos.

Model years on Oceanside trucks

Inspectors stopped 325 Oceanside-based trucks between August 2024 and August 2026, and FMCSA roadside inspection records give their median model year as 2019. Note your truck’s model year beside the VIN when you write to us.

The same FMCSA roadside inspection records show 24.6 percent of those trucks were ten or more model years old. Whatever the year, the paperwork is the same: a California title in your name, and a lien release from any lender named on it.

  • Is there a low bridge to watch for when you collect in Oceanside? One. The National Bridge Inventory lists Pacific Terrace over Cassidy Street at 13 feet 5 inches, the only one of Oceanside’s 70 bridges under 14 feet. Mention it if your truck is parked nearby.
