Sell your semi truck for cash in San Diego Country Estates the easy and convenient way

We buy all commercial trucks — sleeper trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, pickups, day cabs and service bodies.

San Diego Country Estates sits in the hills of San Diego County with granite pits and aggregate operations to its south and south-west, so the trucks parked on its ranch lots tend to be dump trucks, flatbeds and pickups that haul rock and material down toward Lakeside, Santee and El Cajon.

Granite and aggregate pits south of the Estates

Turvey’s Granite Pit, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration registers as a sand and gravel operation, is a 10.7-mile drive due south of the Estates’ ranch lots. A tandem dump or end dump that has run loads out of a granite pit like that one is a truck we collect, and the quickest start is a photo of the VIN plate and the bed along with the cab.

About 11.4 miles to the south-west sits LAKESIDE - VIGILANTE AGGREGATES, another sand and gravel site on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register. If your dump truck is still parked at a Lakeside yard rather than at home, give us that yard’s address and the name of whoever holds the gate key, and we plan the pickup there.

Keep the scale tickets or haul logs from those pits if you still have them. They are not required, but they tell us what the truck carried and for whom, which saves a round of questions.

Crushed stone toward Santee and El Cajon

Santee Aggregates, a crushed-stone quarry, is 17 miles south-west of town by the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s location, and El Cajon Quarry is 17.9 miles out in the same direction. Transfer trucks, water trucks and belly-dump tractors that worked those two quarries are welcome; tell us the axle setup and the body type when you first get in touch.

Northwest of the Estates, the Mine Safety and Health Administration also records a dimension-stone quarry listed as Jerry Brown, 17.4 miles away. Stone of that kind usually moves on flatbeds, so if yours is a flatbed or a boom truck, include a photo of the deck and any crane or tie-down gear mounted on it.

Whichever quarry the truck served, have the California title in the registered owner’s name ready, plus the current registration card. If the title is lost, the state’s title agency handles a duplicate, and starting that request early keeps the sale moving.

Construction work inside the community

The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES) put 691 jobs inside San Diego Country Estates in 2023, and 133 of them, or 19.2 percent, were in construction. Contractors’ pickups, stake beds and small dumps from that trade are part of what we buy here.

Describe the driveway when the truck sits on a hillside lot or a long gravel lane, including whether a tow rig can turn around at the top. On a ranch-style parcel we plan the equipment around that answer.

Service records from your mechanic, even a folder of receipts, help us match the truck to the photos you send. If the truck is registered to your business rather than to you, have the company paperwork that shows who can sign.

Box trucks for foliage, potted plants and cut flowers

Foliage plants lead the crops grown on the county’s 4,031 farms, with potted flowering plants second and cut flowers and cultivated greens third, according to USDA’s 2022 tally. Box trucks and reefers that haul nursery stock or flower orders for those growers are trucks we purchase.

If your box truck has a lift gate or a refrigeration unit, photograph the unit’s plate and the gate along with the body. Note whether the reefer has its own engine or draws from the truck, so we know what to look at on collection day.

A rail yard west, two bases south-west and north

ESCONDIDO YARD, a rail yard on the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, lies 19.6 miles west of the Estates. Day cabs that shuttle freight between that yard and inland customers are trucks we take; send the VIN and the odometer reading first.

Marine Corps Air Station Miramar is 19.6 miles to the south-west, and Warner Springs Rts is 22.6 miles north; the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists both as military installations. If you hauled for work on either base and the truck is parked off-site near it, we come to that spot rather than asking you to bring it back up the hill.

Clean-truck rule status for a backcountry seller

The California Air Resources Board’s Advanced Clean Fleets requirements for drayage, high-priority and federal fleets are listed as repealed, and a federal court filing shows enforcement of the 2036 zero-emission sales requirement paused. Its Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation, meanwhile, carries a contested status on the Air Resources Board’s own amendment notice.

None of that changes what you need to sell a truck from San Diego Country Estates: the title, the registration and clear photos. If you have emissions or compliance paperwork for the truck, add it to the file you send.

The questions we get asked in San Diego Country Estates

  • My tandem dump is still at a gravel yard down by Lakeside, so does the pickup happen at that yard?LAKESIDE - VIGILANTE AGGREGATES is 11.4 miles south-west of the Estates on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and we collect from yards like that one directly. Pass along the yard’s street address and the name of whoever can open its gate for the tow rig.
  • My crew builds homes around the Estates. Are contractor pickups and stake beds trucks you buy?Construction held 133 of the 691 jobs counted in San Diego Country Estates in 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and the pickups, stake beds and small dumps that trade uses are trucks we purchase. A VIN, the name on the California title and a few photos of the bed are enough for a first look.
  • I have a box truck that hauled potted plants for a county nursery, so is a nursery box truck on your list?Potted flowering plants and foliage plants lead the crop list for San Diego County in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and the box trucks and reefers that carry them are on our list. Photograph the body, the lift gate and any refrigeration unit plate.
  • My ranch-lot dump truck’s title went missing in a move up the hill; who issues the duplicate?Trucks registered in San Diego Country Estates carry a California title, and the state’s title agency issues the duplicate. Tell us it is missing when you first contact us, and send the registration card so we can confirm the truck in the meantime.
