Port Tampa fuel
Petroleum terminals on the Tampa side of the bay
The Energy Information Administration places the Port Tampa Blending Terminal 16.9 miles east of Belleair and the Tampa Terminal 17.6 miles east. A tractor that pulled product from either one may still be parked on the Tampa side; give us the yard’s street address and a contact who can open the gate, and the collection is planned there rather than in Belleair.
Further along the same heading, 22.5 miles out, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records CITGO Petroleum Corporation’s liquid bulk terminal. For a tank tractor that loaded at Port Tampa or the CITGO dock, keep its terminal access records and any annual inspection reports with the title, because those papers tell us where the truck has worked before we see a single photo.
Yards and a grinding plant
St Petersburg rail, Port Tampa rail and a cement plant
On the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the St Petersburg rail yard sits 13.7 miles south-east of town and the Port Tampa yard 22.2 miles east. If your day cab shuttled loads to either yard, send pictures of the cab, the frame rails and the fifth wheel, along with the VIN plate, so the listing we work from matches the tractor.
Tampa Cement Grinding Plant, 22.6 miles east according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration, is the one mineral site within reach of Belleair. Mixers, bulk pneumatic tractors and dump trucks that served it are welcome here; note the body type and the axle setup when you write to us, and attach the registration so the paperwork side is settled early.
Two military installations to the south-east and east
Pinellas Park AFRC lies 10.2 miles south-east of Belleair and MacDill Air Force Base 20.1 miles east, both listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics as military installations. A truck that made deliveries to either gate is one we can collect off base, at the driver’s home or a shop lot nearby, so tell us where it actually sits today.
For a contractor who ran supplies toward MacDill, the title is the document that matters most. If it carries a lienholder, have the lender’s release on hand; if the original is missing, the state’s title agency issues a duplicate, and we can begin with photos and the VIN while that request is pending.
Belleair’s bridge clearances on federal record
The National Bridge Inventory from the Federal Highway Administration counts 7 bridges in Belleair, with none posted for load and none under 14 feet of clearance. A tall box truck or a loaded tractor parked in town therefore has no listed bridge restriction between it and the main roads out, and a pickup from a driveway or side street can be planned around that.
Still, a residential street with tight turns is different from an open yard. Tell us whether the truck is in a garage, behind a gate or along the curb, and mention if a trailer is still hooked to it, so the right equipment arrives for the job.
Jobs, construction and Pinellas County farms
Census Bureau LEHD job counts for 2023 put 1,037 jobs in Belleair, 60 of them in construction, or 5.8 percent. A flatbed, a dump body or a small crane truck from that work is something we purchase; list each vehicle separately with its VIN if you are selling more than one.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture records 115 farms across Pinellas County, with potted flowering plants, honey and cattle at the top of the list. A refrigerated box truck that hauled nursery stock, or a stake-bed used around apiaries and pasture, can be sold from the farm itself; have the registration and title together, and mention any refrigeration unit by make so it is part of the description.
