Sell your semi truck for cash in Cocoa Beach the easy and convenient way

Cocoa Beach sits on the barrier island in Brevard County, between Port Canaveral’s cargo piers to the north and Patrick Space Force Base to the south, with the Cocoa rail yard across the Banana River to the west. The trucks that work this stretch of A1A carry fuel, port freight, vehicles and visitors, and we buy them from their owners where they are parked.

North on the island

Port Canaveral’s cargo pier and fuel terminals

Port Canaveral’s South Cargo Pier 4, a roll-on/roll-off terminal, lies 5.4 miles north of Cocoa Beach on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ list of port facilities. A tractor that has shuttled wheeled cargo off that pier can be collected from the port side of the island or from a driveway in town; send us the street address and the name of whoever holds the keys.

Two petroleum product terminals named Cape Canaveral appear in the Energy Information Administration’s terminal list at 5.4 and 6.2 miles north, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the VTTI liquid bulk terminal 6.1 miles up the same road. If your tanker or fuel tractor loaded at those racks, tell us which ones, and have the title, the current registration and any tank inspection certificates ready when you get in touch.

Mainland rail at Cocoa and Rockledge, west over the Banana River

West of the Banana River, the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics marks the Cocoa-Rockledge rail yard 6.4 miles from Cocoa Beach. Day cabs that drayed boxcar and yard freight on the mainland side are trucks we take, and a yard lot in Cocoa or Rockledge is as easy a pickup spot for us as a beachside street.

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists a rail intermodal ramp at Cocoa, 6.5 miles west of the beach. For a container tractor that ran to that ramp, the VIN, a clear photo of the odometer and pictures of the fifth wheel and frame give us the whole picture before we ask anything else.

Trucks on the Patrick and Cape Canaveral base contracts

Patrick Space Force Base is 6.7 miles south of town and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is 10.9 miles north, both on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ register of military installations. If your truck worked contracts on either installation and is now parked off base, give us the gate-free address where it stands so the collection does not need a base pass.

A truck still sitting behind a security gate at either installation is a different arrangement: tell us that at the start and name a contact who can escort a driver in, and we will plan the visit with that person rather than with you.

Small beachside fleets of shuttles, car haulers and freight trucks

FMCSA’s carrier census lists 32 active motor carriers based in Cocoa Beach, and 29 of them run intrastate only, with 3 crossing state lines and 9 operating as private fleets. Most local trucks therefore carry a Florida registration and Florida paperwork, which keeps the title transfer inside one state.

By cargo type in that same FMCSA census, 12 carriers here declare general freight, 11 carry passengers, 7 haul motor vehicles and 4 do driveaway or towaway work. Shuttle buses, car haulers and box trucks all fit what we purchase; tell us the body type and seating or deck layout when you first write.

According to FMCSA’s carrier census, the biggest Cocoa Beach fleet runs 11 power units with 12 drivers, the next 4 with 4, and a third 2 power units with a single driver. Whether you are selling one unit or several from a small fleet, list each VIN and where each one is parked so we can collect them on one trip.

Short runs along the Space Coast

In FMCSA’s census, Cocoa Beach carriers report 89 drivers working within 100 miles and 10 working beyond it. A truck that stays on short Brevard County loops usually ends the week back at a yard or home in the area, which is where we expect to meet it.

FMCSA’s census also records 3 new carriers registering in Cocoa Beach in 2024 and another 3 in 2025. An operator who started recently and has a newer title in hand should keep the lienholder’s release letter with it if the truck was financed.

Beachside contractors, wholesalers and inland Brevard cattle and honey

Of the 7,308 jobs located in Cocoa Beach during 2023, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 294 in construction and 183 with wholesale traders along the island. Dump trucks, flatbeds and delivery straight trucks serving that work are welcome; photos of the bed or body and the cab interior help us see it before the visit.

Cocoa Beach holds 41 construction establishments, a tally the Census Bureau publishes in County Business Patterns for the barrier-island town. If your truck belongs to one of those contractors and sits at a job site, give us the site address and a time when the gate is open.

Brevard County had 584 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, led by cattle, honey and potted flowering plants. Stock trailers’ tractors and nursery delivery trucks from inland Brevard can be collected at the farm; a lost Florida title is replaced through the state’s title agency before the sale closes.

The questions we get asked in Cocoa Beach

  • My rig sits at a yard by Port Canaveral’s cargo piers; does it have to come down A1A to Cocoa Beach first?Port Canaveral’s South Cargo Pier 4 is 5.4 miles north of town on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ list, and we collect from the port area directly. Tell us whose lot the truck is on so the pickup is cleared with them.
  • Would you buy the passenger shuttle I keep at home on the Cocoa Beach side of the Banana River?Passenger carriers make up 11 of the 32 active Cocoa Beach carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, and shuttle buses are among the trucks we buy. Send the VIN, the seating count and photos of the interior.
  • The truck worked on Patrick Space Force Base. Will your driver collect it from the base itself?Patrick Space Force Base lies 6.7 miles south of Cocoa Beach in the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ installation list. If the truck is inside the gate, name an escort who can bring a driver in; if it is off base, give us the street address.
