Two rail sites east
Box trucks and day cabs by the Cocoa rail ramp
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Cocoa rail intermodal ramp 2.5 miles east of Cocoa West. A day cab that shuttles boxes between that ramp and Brevard warehouses is exactly the kind of tractor we collect here, from wherever it is parked near the rail line.
Listed by the North American Rail Network, which the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain, the Cocoa-Rockledge rail yard lies 2.6 miles to the east. If your tractor is kept near the yard, send us the street address and a note on the gate or lot access so the driver knows where to turn in.
North of town, that same North American Rail Network shows the Frontenac rail yard 11.2 miles away. Trucks based up that way are collected where they sit; tell us which side of the yard the truck is on and have the title and registration together before the visit.
Out at the cape
Port Canaveral’s ro-ro pier and liquid bulk berths
Port Canaveral’s South Cargo Pier 4, a roll-on/roll-off terminal, is 10.4 miles east of Cocoa West according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. We buy tractors and lowboy rigs that move rolling cargo off that pier from wherever they are parked in town; send photos of the cab, frame, fifth wheel and tires with your first message.
VTTI’s liquid bulk terminal stands at the same 10.4 miles east, a distance the Bureau of Transportation Statistics gives for the berth. If your tanker or tank-trailer tractor has served VTTI, keep any terminal access paperwork and service records with the title, since they tell us where the truck has worked.
If your truck works the port routes but is garaged out near the cape itself, give us that address instead of a Cocoa West one, and we will plan the collection around the spot where the keys actually are.
Fuel by the coast
Two petroleum product terminals at Cape Canaveral
The Energy Information Administration lists two petroleum product terminals at Cape Canaveral, one 10.1 miles and one 10.7 miles east of Cocoa West. Fuel tractors and straight-truck tankers that load at those racks are trucks we buy, whether you run one unit or several.
For a fuel hauler, gather the title, the current registration and any tank inspection certificates before you contact us. Note the trailer configuration in your first message too, so the questions that follow are about your own rig.
Aggregate and builders
Quarry hauling and construction jobs
Rock Solid Rock, LLC runs a crushed-stone quarry 8.1 miles north-west of Cocoa West, on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s mine list. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that haul aggregate out of that quarry are collected from the yard, the job site or your driveway, whichever is easiest to reach.
On the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023, 399 of the 1,527 jobs sited in Cocoa West sit in construction, a 26.1 percent share. If your mixer, dump body or flatbed works those sites, take photos from all four sides plus the body or bed, and write down the VIN and odometer reading to send with them.
Contractors winding down a few units at once can list every truck in one message. Include the VIN, the body type and where each truck is parked, and we will work through them together rather than one at a time.
Brevard farm roads
Cattle, honey and nursery plants in the county
Brevard County holds 584 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and cattle lead its product list ahead of honey and potted flowering plants. Livestock haulers, box trucks moving potted plants and flatbeds carrying hive boxes all come off farms like these, and we collect them from the property.
On a farm or ranch, the truck may sit behind a gate or down a grass lane. Tell us how to reach it, whether a tow truck can get alongside, and who will be there with the title when we arrive.
Title folder
Whoever is named on the Florida title is the person who signs it over at collection. If the title has gone missing, ask the state’s title office for a replacement before you list the truck with us, and tell us it is on the way.
Keep the registration, any lien release and whatever service records you have in one folder. With those papers and a clear set of photos, we have what is needed to go from your first message to a scheduled pickup.
