Two crushed-stone quarries off opposite sides of town
West Florida Aggregate, a crushed-stone quarry the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 9.3 miles north-east of Dade City North, is the nearer of the two pits. A tandem dump or end-dump that hauls rock out of it can be picked up at your yard, at a shop, or wherever it is parked between loads, so give us that address when you get in touch.
On the south-east side, Kathleen Mine shows up in Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a crushed-stone quarry 10.4 miles from town. If your rig spends its days shuttling aggregate between that pit and job sites, send clear photos of the bed, the cab and the VIN plate along with the registration, so we know exactly which unit we are talking about.
Kiln and clay
Cement at Brooksville and minerals out west
Nearly twenty miles north-west, at 19.9 miles by the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s listing, stands the Brooksville South Cement Plant. Bulk pneumatic tankers and ready-mix trucks are on our list; describe the trailer or drum setup along with the tractor when you contact us.
County Line Mine, an industrial-mineral operation, appears 23 miles due west in the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s records. A truck working that run may be parked closer to the mine than to Dade City North; we collect it where it sits, so share the gate hours and the name of whoever can let us in.
A bulk tank terminal south-east of the quarries
Down toward the south-east, past both quarries, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places Heniff Transportation’s liquid bulk terminal 24.3 miles from Dade City North. Tank tractors that pull to and from a site of that kind are on our list; keep the trailer’s wash and inspection records in the folder with the title.
If the tractor and the tanker are owned separately, say so up front. We can look at the tractor alone, or at both together, once you send the VIN for each and a few photos of the plates and the cab interior.
Construction first
Builders and plant crews close to home
Of 436 jobs counted here in 2023, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES) put 131 in construction, a 30 percent share. That sector runs on dumps, flatbeds and service bodies, and any of those can be listed with us by sending the year, make, model and where the truck is parked.
Manufacturing holds the next slice: 96 positions, or 22 percent, in that same 2023 LODES release from the Census Bureau. A box truck or straight truck that moves goods for a plant counts too; registration and recent service invoices help us confirm the details you give.
Pasture and greenhouse
Livestock, horses and potted plants around Dade City North
Around Dade City North, cattle lead the farm list for the county’s 1,190 farms, with equine operations and potted flowering plants next, according to USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Livestock haulers, horse-trailer tractors and nursery delivery trucks from those operations are welcome here.
A farm truck often sits in a pasture or a barn lot rather than a paved yard. Tell us how the gate opens and whether the ground is firm enough for a carrier, and we will plan the collection around the property.
Sixth Street office
A Sixth Street counter for missing truck titles
Titles in this state are handled by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles through county tax collector service centers and license plate agents. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles lists the Pasco County motor vehicle service center - Dade City 1.3 miles from town, in the East Pasco Government Center, 14236 Sixth Street, Room #100, Dade City, 33523.
If the title has gone missing, a duplicate from that Sixth Street counter is the step to take before the truck changes hands. Bring photo ID and the VIN, and if a lender still shows on the record, ask the clerk what the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles needs to clear the lien.
