Quarries and cement plants on Doral’s edge
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Miami Quarry, a crushed-stone operation, 2.2 miles south-west of Doral, and the Pennsuco Quarry with its cement plant 4.3 miles to the north. Dump trucks, mixers and bulk tractors that serve those gates are among what we buy, and they can stay parked at the yard they work from while you arrange the sale.
A second cement plant, the Miami Cement Plant, is listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration 4.5 miles south-west, with the Epic Stoneworks dimension-stone quarry 4.2 miles south-east. If your mixer or dump body rotated between these sites, tell us which ones and send photos of the drum or bed, the chassis plate and the cab, so the truck we collect is the one you described.
Hialeah yard, the Miami ramp and the tank terminal
The North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Hialeah yard of the Florida East Coast line at 3.1 miles from Doral. Day cabs that drayed boxes off that yard are a good fit for us; have the VIN and the current registration to hand when you first get in touch.
Container tractors also run to the Miami intermodal ramp, which the Bureau of Transportation Statistics puts 3.4 miles east. Further out, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists the Norfolk Southern TBT liquid bulk terminal 6.4 miles east. A tractor that pulled tankers there can be collected from the lot where it sits, provided someone can open the gate on the day.
Doral carriers by kind of haul
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 1,983 active carriers based in Doral, 1,554 of them intrastate, 411 interstate and 574 private fleets hauling their own goods. Whichever group you belong to, the paperwork we ask for is the same: the title in your name or the company’s, the registration and any service records you keep.
Of those carriers, the federal census records 1,369 hauling general freight and 199 carrying fresh produce, with 191 each in refrigerated food and meat. Reefer tractors and straight trucks with cooling units fit what we purchase; include the reefer unit’s make and hours alongside photos of the box.
Carriers starting out in Doral numbered 124 in 2024 and 131 in 2025, going by the start dates in FMCSA’s carrier census for Miami-Dade’s Doral. If you started up in either year and are now selling, the title and the authority paperwork you filed then are what we will ask to see.
Local radius, model years and fleet size
Drivers working inside 100 miles number 4,145 in FMCSA’s carrier census, against 2,408 who range further. Among the 366 carriers reporting mileage to that census, the median truck covered 15,366 miles in a year; tell us the address where yours is parked and we come to it.
FMCSA roadside inspection records for 2,205 trucks inspected between August 2024 and August 2026 give a median model year of 2018, with 39.23% ten or more years old. Whatever the year of yours, send the VIN and a clear photo of the odometer.
The census also lists the three biggest Doral fleets at 300, 288 and 194 power units. Selling several trucks at once is something we handle; a list of VINs with each unit’s parking address lets us plan the collection truck by truck.
Warehouses, wholesale and construction work
The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 88,587 jobs in Doral in 2023, with 13,439 in wholesale trade and 11,049 in transportation and warehousing. Box trucks and tractors that shuttle between those distribution buildings are part of what we buy, and they can be collected at the dock where they are parked.
Construction accounted for 3,542 of those 2023 jobs and manufacturing for 3,847, per the same LEHD release, while County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau counts 392 construction establishments and 77 warehousing establishments. Flatbeds, dumps and stake trucks from a contractor’s yard qualify; have the registration in the business name ready if the company holds the title.
Nursery haul
Miami-Dade’s plant nurseries
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture records 2,664 farms across Miami-Dade County, with foliage plants, potted flowering plants and cut flowers and greens leading the list. Refrigerated straight trucks and tractors that carry nursery stock out of the county fit our list.
If a nursery truck is registered to the farm rather than to you, the person named on the title signs the sale. Should that title be missing, a replacement comes from the state’s title agency before we collect, and a copy of the farm’s registration helps confirm who owns it.
The questions we get asked in Doral
- Can my dump truck stay at the Pennsuco quarry yard instead of being driven into Doral?Leave it at the quarry gate. The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Pennsuco Quarry 4.3 miles north of Doral, and we collect from the yard itself; give us the gate contact and the hours the site is open.
- I run reefer loads of produce out of Doral. Do you take refrigerated trucks? We take them: FMCSA’s carrier census counts 199 Doral carriers hauling fresh produce and 191 in refrigerated food, and their trucks are on our list; send the reefer unit’s make and hours with your photos.
- Can I sell a tractor that drays containers from the Miami ramp?A drayage day cab from there qualifies. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Miami intermodal ramp 3.4 miles east of Doral; start with the VIN and registration.
