Stone and sand pits east and west of town
Seven miles east of Fort Denaud, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Stallings Claim, a crushed-stone quarry, and Tomahawk 29 Mine, a sand and gravel operation, sits 8.8 miles out in the same direction on that agency’s rolls. A dump truck or end-dump that shuttles between those pits can be collected right where it is parked on site; just tell us the gate it uses and whom to call there.
Further out, the federal mine safety agency’s register places Witherspoon Sand Plant 12.8 miles north-east and Bell Mine, an industrial-mineral mine, 13.7 miles south, according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration. If your tandem or tri-axle hauls aggregate from either one, send the VIN, a photo of the body and the plate so we can line up collection from the yard rather than a run into town.
West toward the coast, SRM Materials Punta Gorda appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records 13.8 miles away, with Halls Mine 20.7 miles north-west. Owners who split work between Hendry pits and these western quarries should list where the truck usually overnights; that address is where we will meet it.
Fifty-seven registered motor carriers
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 57 active carriers based around Fort Denaud, and 31 of them mark general freight as a cargo they handle. Box trucks, flatbeds and day-cab tractors in that line of work are all on our list; have the registration and the title in the same folder before you reach out.
Machinery and large objects are listed by 7 of those operators in the federal carrier census, alongside 5 that carry farm supplies. A lowboy tractor or a heavy-spec flatbed from that work is welcome, and photos of the deck, the tires and the cab interior tell us what we need before pickup.
Most of these outfits stay inside Florida: the FMCSA registry counts 48 intrastate operators against 8 interstate ones, plus 12 private fleets moving their own goods. A truck that never leaves the state still needs a clear Florida title, so check that the name on it matches yours.
Produce, cattle and honey on Hendry land
Eleven local carriers haul fresh produce according to FMCSA’s carrier census, so reefer tractors and refrigerated straight trucks are part of the local mix. If yours pulled produce, include the reefer unit’s hour meter reading and any service log in your first message.
The surrounding county held 392 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and Fort Denaud’s neighbours list cattle, horses and honey as leading products there. Livestock haulers, stake-bed trucks and farm flatbeds working those pastures can be picked up at the ranch gate, so give us directions if the road in is unpaved.
Builders here often draw stone from the pits east of town that federal mine safety records list. If your construction truck is still lettered, that is fine to leave on; just mention any equipment mounted to the chassis, such as a crane or a liftgate, so the paperwork lists it.
Between September 2024 and August 2026, FMCSA roadside inspection records cover 265 trucks tied to carriers in this area, with a median model year of 2015. Whatever year your truck is, write it down with the make, model and engine so the details we discuss match the title.
Older units are part of what we buy, and the inspection reports themselves are useful to have on hand when you contact us.
FMCSA’s carrier census shows a median of 48,115 miles per truck among the eleven carriers here that reported annual mileage. Have the current odometer reading ready, along with a photo of the dash, so we can record it once and move on.
Florida titles come through county tax collector service centers and license plate agents. For Fort Denaud owners, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles lists the Hendry County motor vehicle service center - LaBelle at 25 East Hickpoochee Avenue, LaBelle, 33935, 7.6 miles away.
If the title is missing or still names a lender you have settled with, start at that LaBelle tax collector office with your ID and the registration. Once the replacement or lien release is in hand, we can finish the sale with the truck parked wherever it sits.
