Geneva is home to 74 active carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, and 69 of them hold intrastate-only operating status. A Geneva tractor or straight truck that never crossed a state line is still one we collect; have the Florida title and current registration in the cab or in your hand when we come for it.
Of those 74, private fleets account for 39 in the same FMCSA census, meaning businesses that move their own goods rather than haul for hire. If your truck carried materials for your own contracting or supply business, list the bodies and equipment fitted to it so we know exactly what is being collected.
Only 5 Geneva carriers hold interstate authority, according to the FMCSA register. If yours is one of them, gather the cab card and any apportioned plate paperwork before pickup, alongside the title.
Dry vans, lowboys and log rigs from Geneva carriers
General freight is listed by 28 Geneva carriers in FMCSA’s cargo classifications, and machinery and large objects by 20. A box truck, a tractor that pulled dry vans, or a lowboy rig moving equipment all fit what we take; tell us the body type and trailer setup when you get in touch.
Logs, poles, beams and lumber appear on the filings of 14 local carriers, and farm supplies on 10, per the same FMCSA census. Log trucks and flatbeds often sit at a woodlot or a farm gate rather than at a yard, so give us the address where it is parked and the name of whoever can let us onto the property.
For fleet size, the three biggest Geneva operations in FMCSA’s register run 17, 13 and 7 power units. Selling several units from one operation at once is fine; send a list of VINs and where each truck stands.
Site crews and distributors on Geneva’s payroll
Of Geneva’s 575 jobs in 2023, construction supplied 210, a 36.5 percent share, in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES). Dump trucks, flatbeds and equipment haulers that served those job sites are trucks we buy, and they may be parked at a contractor’s yard rather than at home; tell us which.
Wholesale trade holds 108 Geneva jobs, 18.8 percent of the total in that LEHD release. Delivery straight trucks and day cabs from distribution work qualify too, and service records from the shop that maintained them help us describe the truck accurately.
Contractors are thick on the ground here: the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns tallies 66 construction establishments for Geneva’s area, so a single yard may hold several titled units. If a contractor is winding down or trimming its fleet, the titles for each unit should be in the company name that appears on the registration.
Rail yards and bulk terminals west toward Sanford
Heading west out of Geneva, the SANFORD rail yard comes up at 11.6 miles and the RAND yard at 13.3 miles north-west, both mapped in the North American Rail Network from the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A tractor that has shuttled loads to either yard can be collected wherever it now sits, whether in town or closer to the tracks.
Transflo CSXT, a liquid bulk terminal, lies 11.8 miles west in the Bureau of Transportation Statistics listing, and Heniff, another liquid bulk terminal, is 21.2 miles south-west. If your tractor has pulled tankers to those terminals, tell us the trailer is separate or included, and keep any site inspection sheets with the truck.
Two military installations show up in the same BTS listing: the Army Research Lab’s Orlando Simulations and Training Technology Center at 11.5 miles and Naval Logistics Support Annex Orlando at 11.6 miles, both south-west. A truck parked near a gated site needs a contact who can arrange access before we arrive.
The quarry to the south and Seminole County farms
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists S & L Materials Inc, a crushed-stone quarry, 19.6 miles south of Geneva. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that hauled aggregate from a pit like that are on our list; photos of the bed, the frame and the cab help us see the whole rig before pickup.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 320 farms in Seminole County, with cattle, horses and honey as the leading products. Livestock haulers, horse transport rigs and farm straight trucks are welcome, and a farm-plated truck still needs its title and registration ready for the transfer.
How old Geneva’s inspected tractors and straight trucks run
FMCSA roadside inspection records cover 43 Geneva-based trucks checked from September 2024 to August 2026: their median model year is 2018, and 39.5 percent carry a model year ten or more years back. Whatever the model year, send the VIN, the odometer reading and a few clear photos so we can identify the exact truck.
Mileage reported to FMCSA by 11 Geneva carriers centres on 25,000 miles per truck each year, and a figure from your own logbook belongs in your first message to us. On the driver side, the same census shows 114 drivers working within 100 miles and 40 beyond it, so a truck may be at a jobsite across Central Florida rather than in town; give us the address where it is today.
New entrants are few: FMCSA’s census shows 3 carriers registering in 2024 and 1 in 2025. If you started your operation recently and the title still carries a lienholder, have the lender’s name and the payoff letter ready, and the state’s title agency handles any duplicate title if the original is lost.
The questions we get asked in Geneva
- My dump truck is parked near the quarry south of Geneva. Should I haul it back to Geneva before you collect?S & L Materials Inc sits 19.6 miles south of town on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and we collect from a yard or lot near there. Name the yard off the quarry road and who holds the key to its gate.
- The Florida title for my Geneva rig is gone; which office issues a duplicate?Geneva trucks are titled in Florida, so the state’s title agency issues a duplicate. File for the duplicate early and mention the pending Florida request when you contact us.
- Do you take trucks from intrastate-only operations?Intrastate operators make up 69 of Geneva’s 74 carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, and their trucks are exactly what we collect. Keep the Florida title and the cab’s registration together for the collection.
- Can I sell a log truck or flatbed that hauled lumber?Lumber, logs, poles and beams are listed by 14 Geneva carriers in FMCSA’s cargo filings, and those trucks are on our list. Photograph the bunks or deck, note the VIN, and say whether the rig sits at a woodlot or at home in Geneva.
