Intrastate haulers, car carriers and shuttles
Of the 729 active Hunters Creek carriers in FMCSA’s census, 578 keep to Florida roads and 151 hold interstate authority. Most trucks sold from here have spent their working lives inside Florida, so a Florida title and current Florida registration are the two papers to find first.
General freight is the leading cargo class, at 421 carriers in the FMCSA census, followed by motor vehicle haulers at 98, passenger carriers at 91 and refrigerated food at 61. Whether yours is a box truck, a car hauler, a shuttle bus or a reefer tractor, tell us the cargo class it was registered for and send photos of the cab, the body or trailer coupling, and the plate.
FMCSA’s carrier census also shows 172 private fleets in town, companies that haul their own goods rather than other people’s. A truck from one of those fleets may be titled to the business, not to the driver, so check whose name sits on the title before you contact us and have whoever signs for the company ready.
Young operations and small fleets
According to FMCSA registrations, 51 new carriers started in Hunters Creek in 2025, after 38 in 2024. If you set up an authority in the last two years and are now letting a truck go, keep the purchase paperwork, the title and any lien release together; a recent finance deal usually means a lender is still listed.
Hunters Creek’s top three fleets in the FMCSA census field 26, 24 and 23 power units, staffed by 20, 16 and 6 drivers respectively. At that scale a business may be selling several units at once, and a list of VINs with where each one is parked lets us plan one visit around the yard.
Radius, yearly mileage and build years
Of the drivers on carrier filings with FMCSA, 692 work within 100 miles of base and 791 go beyond that radius. A truck on long runs may be parked away from Hunters Creek when you decide to sell, and we collect wherever it sits, so give us that address rather than your home one.
For the 146 carriers reporting mileage in the FMCSA census, the median is 35,000 miles per truck a year. Read the odometer and photograph it along with the VIN plate; those two figures are where our first questions start.
FMCSA roadside inspection records cover 336 trucks from here checked between August 2024 and August 2026, and the median model year among them is 2016, with 45.2 percent ten or more years old. Whatever the build year, tell us the make, model and engine, and send the most recent inspection report if you have it.
Terminals and yards north-east of town
The Energy Information Administration places the ORLANDO petroleum product terminal 5.9 miles north-east of Hunters Creek, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists the Heniff liquid bulk terminal 13.4 miles to the north. Tankers and tractors that load at those racks often stay parked near them between runs, and we can collect from a terminal lot once you tell us who controls the gate.
Two rail yards on the North American Rail Network, WEST at 7.3 miles and TAFT at 7.5 miles, sit north-east of the city. If your day cab has shuttled freight to and from those yards, list the trailers or containers it pulled and whether the fifth wheel was kept on a service schedule.
Sand pits, construction and dump work
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the FLINT PLANT sand and gravel operation 14.5 miles south-west and Cypress Sand 14.6 miles west of Hunters Creek. Dump trucks and tri-axles that haul from pits like these are trucks we buy, and a photo of the bed, the hoist and the tailgate tells us what we need to know about the body.
County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau counts 167 construction establishments here against 10 in warehousing. On the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023, construction held 173 of the 4,946 local jobs and transportation and warehousing held 126. Contractors selling a flatbed, a dump or a mixer should have the title in the company name and the registration card in the cab when we arrive.
Nurseries and bases
Foliage growers and military sites
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 600 farms in Orange County, led by foliage plants, propagative material and potted flowering plants. Nursery growers run refrigerated and box trucks to move live plants, and if yours carried that kind of load, include photos of the reefer unit and its hour meter.
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists NG Orlando Naval Training Center 8.5 miles north-east and Naval Logistics Support Annex Orlando 21.3 miles out in the same direction. A truck kept on or beside a base will need someone with access to meet us, so name that person when you book the collection.
