Keuka, Edgar and the plants to the north
Two operations sit within a few minutes of Interlachen on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s mine register: the Keuka Sand Plant, 2.7 miles to the south-east, and Edgar Minerals, Inc., an industrial-mineral mine 3.2 miles to the south-west. A dump truck or tractor that has shuttled loads out of either one is the kind of equipment we collect. If it is parked at the plant rather than at your house, give us the gate details and a contact on site so the pickup can be arranged there.
North of town, the Grandin Sand Plant lies 7.4 miles away and the Goldhead Sand Plant 14.8 miles away, both listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as sand and gravel operations. Owners who have hauled between these pits and job sites should note which plants the truck served when they first contact us. That history, plus the VIN and current registration, lets us ask about your truck and not about where it has been.
Reddick stone and the PECAN yard
Out to the south-west, roughly 24.9 miles from Interlachen, the Reddick Mine appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a crushed-stone quarry. A truck that has run aggregate from Reddick back toward Putnam County can stay wherever it is parked; tell us the address and whether a tow vehicle can reach it, and we plan around that spot.
Eastward, the PECAN rail yard sits 14.8 miles from town according to the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. If your tractor has dropped or picked up freight at that yard, photos of the cab, frame, fifth wheel and tires help us see the same truck you describe, so take a set before you call.
The same census puts logs, poles, beams and lumber on 12 of those registrations, as many as list machinery and large objects, while seven name metal sheets, coils and rolls. Whether your truck is a log rig, a lowboy tractor or a flatbed that has carried coil, we buy it from the owner directly.
Most of the town’s operators stay inside Florida: the same federal census counts 52 intrastate carriers against 10 that cross state lines, and 19 that run private fleets moving their own goods. If yours is one of those private-fleet trucks, have the registration in the company’s name and someone able to sign for the business when we arrange the sale.
With fleets that small, we expect to deal with you directly, and we need the title, the registration and a phone number that reaches you.
New registrations stay modest: three carriers began operating from Interlachen in 2025 and one in 2024, per the federal carrier census. If you opened your authority recently and are now selling the truck you started with, keep your purchase paperwork and any lien release together with the title.

Interlachen splits between short and long runs: 51 carriers here report drivers working inside a hundred-mile radius, and 41 report drivers going farther, according to FMCSA’s census figures. A truck that ranges out may be sitting at a terminal or a customer yard when you decide to sell, and that is fine; we collect from wherever it is.
For trucks that stay local, the likely pickup spot is a home lot in town or a plant yard near the sand mines. Tell us which one and whether there is room for a tow vehicle to load it.
Farms, building trades and local work
Putnam County holds 539 farms on USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with cut flowers and cultivated greens, cattle and equine leading the list. Livestock haulers and trucks used for nursery greens move through the area around Interlachen, and we buy those trucks from their owners too.
The Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns lists 18 construction establishments for the area, and the LEHD job counts from the same bureau put total employment at 311 for 2023. Contractors selling a dump truck or a flatbed tractor can reach us with the title holder’s name and the address where the truck is kept.
The tag office in town
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles lists one right in town: the Putnam County motor vehicle service center - Interlachen, at 1114 State Road 20 W., Suite #5, Interlachen, 32148, about 0.8 miles from the center of town.
If the title has gone missing, that tax collector service center is where a seller here applies for a replacement before the sale. Bring your identification and the truck’s VIN, and if the title ever carried a lien, bring the lien release so the new title comes back clear.
