Two stone pits within fifteen miles north-east
Jayrock, a crushed-stone quarry on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, lies 13.5 miles north-east of Lochmoor Waterway Estates. A tri-axle dump or end-dump tractor that hauled aggregate out of that pit can be sold from the driveway or yard where it now sits; send us that street address with the VIN and we route the collection there.
Only a little further along the same bearing, at 14.1 miles, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists SRM Materials Punta Gorda, another crushed-stone operation. If your truck split its loads between both quarries, mention it, and photograph the body, the hoist and the tailgate alongside the cab so the pictures cover the parts that did the quarry work.
Mineral sites
Bell Mine east, Bermont Materials Alico north
Twenty miles out, two industrial-mineral mines bracket the town: Bell Mine 20.1 miles to the east and Bermont Materials Alico 20.9 miles to the north, both recorded by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Trucks assigned to either site sometimes stay parked on the property between jobs, so tell us whether yours is at home in Lochmoor or still behind a mine gate.
When the truck is inside a mine property, give us a name and number for whoever controls the gate. We arrange the pickup around their hours, and you can finish the sale by phone and email without driving out to Bell or Alico yourself.
Sand and fill
Fill sand from north of town and from the south-east
Sand and gravel come from two operations the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists farther out: Washington Loop Mine, 22.5 miles north, and Corkscrew, 23.5 miles to the south-east. Fill haulers, roll-off rigs and lowboys moving loaders between those pits and Lee County jobsites are all trucks we buy.
For a truck that ran sand routes, the two documents that settle most questions are the title in your name and the current registration. Put them with the VIN, the odometer reading and a set of clear photos, and the conversation about your truck can begin from the record rather than from guesses.
Construction in the job counts
Of the 827 jobs located in Lochmoor Waterway Estates, construction holds 179, or 21.6 percent, according to 2023 figures from the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Pickups with service bodies, stake beds and small dumps that belong to contractors on that payroll fall within what we purchase.
If the truck is titled to a business rather than to you personally, have someone authorised to sign for that company ready when the title is transferred. Gather the service records from the contractor’s own shop as well, so the maintenance history travels with the truck.
Lee County farms: corn fields, herds and beehives
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 813 farms in Lee County, with corn, cattle and honey heading the list of what they produce. Grain trucks, livestock haulers and the flatbeds that move hives between groves are as welcome here as any quarry truck.
A farm truck may carry farm tags or sit unregistered between seasons. Tell us how it is plated today and where on the property it is parked. If the title is missing, say so in your first message.
The questions we get asked in Lochmoor Waterway Estates
- Our quarry dump never left the Jayrock site north-east of here. Can your crew collect it right there at the quarry?Jayrock sits 13.5 miles north-east of town by the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s listing, and we collect from the quarry itself. Share who opens the quarry gate and which stockpile or lot the dump is beside.
- For years my tractor and trailer pulled fill out of Corkscrew. Would a sand hauler like that interest you?Corkscrew is a sand and gravel operation 23.5 miles south-east of Lochmoor Waterway Estates on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, and the dumps and tractors that served it are trucks we buy. Pass along the VIN, the name on the title and a handful of photos of the trailer and tractor.
- Our contracting firm holds the title to the dump, rather than me personally. Who has to sign, and what paperwork matters?Construction accounts for 179 of the 827 local jobs in the Census Bureau’s 2023 LEHD counts, and plenty of those trucks are company-titled. We need the title in the business’s name and a person authorised to sign it over.
- Will you collect a livestock trailer and tractor from a cattle operation outside town?Cattle is among the top products on Lee County’s 813 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and we pick up on farm property. Tell us the address and which gate or barn the truck sits beside.
