Pits and quarries off Orangetree’s south-west edge
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 846 Mine LLC, a sand and gravel operation, 1.4 miles south-west of Orangetree, and Golden Gate Quarry, a crushed-stone site, 6 miles in the same direction. A dump truck or tri-axle that shuttles between those two and Collier County job sites can be collected from the yard where it sits between loads. Send the gate address and the name of whoever holds the key.
Further out, Corkscrew is a sand and gravel operation 11 miles north, and Sunniland Mine, a crushed-stone quarry, lies 12.7 miles north-east, both on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register. Bell Mine, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists as an industrial-mineral site, is 16.5 miles north. If your truck is parked at one of those pits rather than at home, tell us which one, and have the title and current registration in hand before we arrange the visit.
Collier carriers listed with FMCSA
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 1,149 active carriers tied to Orangetree, and 598 of them list general freight as a cargo they haul. Box trucks and van tractors from that group are the ones we hear about most from small operators. A clear photo of the VIN plate, the odometer and each side of the cab gives us what we need to start.
Refuse haulers are on the same register: 83 carriers here mark garbage, refuse and trash, according to FMCSA’s carrier census, while another 83 mark machinery and large objects and 73 mark motor vehicles. Roll-off trucks, lowboy tractors and car haulers fit those lines. For a body or trailer that was added after the chassis was built, keep the upfitter’s paperwork with the title.
New authorities keep appearing in Orangetree: the carrier census from FMCSA shows 75 new carriers registered in 2024 and 66 in 2025. If you started hauling in one of those years and the truck no longer fits your plans, the title in your name or your company’s name is the key document; a lien still on it should be noted when you first reach us.
Florida-only haulers and private fleets in Orangetree
Of the active carriers here, 1,001 run intrastate only and 148 cross state lines, per FMCSA’s carrier census, with 272 operating as private fleets that move their own goods. A private-fleet truck owned by a landscaping or building firm is sold the same way as one under for-hire authority. Have the company officer who can sign the title available when we schedule collection.
Driver records in FMCSA’s census put 1,188 drivers working within 100 miles and 1,996 beyond that radius. Whether your truck stays close to Collier County or works out of state, let us know where it will be parked on the day you want it gone, and we will come to that spot.
Among 266 carriers reporting annual mileage to FMCSA, the median works out to 37,000 miles per truck. Note the reading on your own dash when you first contact us; it is one of the first questions we ask, along with the VIN.
FMCSA roadside inspection records from 28 August 2024 to 25 August 2026 cover 479 trucks linked to Orangetree carriers. Those same inspection records give a median model year of 2013, with 62 percent ten or more years old when checked. Older and newer model years are both on the list of trucks we buy.
If your truck was among those inspected, keep the report it received with the sale paperwork, together with any service records. Copies of inspection reports show its working history alongside the photos you send.
Construction work in eastern Collier
The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023 place 443 jobs in Orangetree, and construction accounts for 124 of them, or 28 percent. Dump trucks, flatbeds and water trucks serving building sites are the kind of equipment that work sustains. If the truck is still lettered with a contractor’s name, that is fine; tell us whose name is on the title.
Builders are numerous too: 256 construction establishments appear in the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns. A builder winding down a project and parking a truck that has finished its job can sell it from the site itself, provided the person who signs the title can meet us or sign in advance.
Ranch and grove country
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture records 330 farms in Collier County, with cattle, equine and honey among the leading products. Livestock haulers, horse-trailer tractors and flatbed trucks moving hives belong to that farm economy. A truck sitting in a pasture or barn is collected where it stands; just describe the gate and the ground leading to it.
For a farm truck registered to a ranch or family business, gather the title, the registration and the name of the owner of record. If the title has gone missing, mention it at the start so the replacement can be sorted out before collection is booked.
