Sell your semi truck for cash in Panama City Beach the easy and convenient way

Panama City Beach sits on the Gulf side of Bay County, with the West Terminal intermodal ramp, the Panama City port and two rail yards all lying east of town, and Naval Support Activity Panama City just south-east. Trucks that work this stretch move between the beach, the bay and the base, and we collect them wherever they are parked along it.

Small carriers on the beach side of the bay

Of the 178 active carriers that FMCSA’s carrier census places in Panama City Beach, general freight is the cargo listed by 82. If your box truck or tractor hauled general freight from a yard in town, have the title and the current registration in one place before you call; those two papers answer most of our first questions.

Of those 178 carriers, the census counts 131 that run intrastate, 44 that cross state lines and 94 that operate as private fleets hauling their own goods. A private-fleet truck often sits at the owner’s shop or job site rather than a terminal, so tell us the street address and who holds the keys, and we plan the collection around that spot.

The three biggest fleets registered here, per the same FMCSA census, run 27, 14 and 11 power units. Selling several units from one of these yards at once is fine; send a list of VINs with one photo set per truck so each gets its own look.

Buses, refuse trucks and lumber haulers

Sixteen local carriers on FMCSA’s census haul passengers, fifteen carry garbage and refuse, and another fifteen move logs, poles, beams and lumber. A shuttle bus, a rear loader or a log truck each comes with its own body, so photograph the body and any lift, packer or loader controls alongside the cab and chassis.

For refuse and lumber equipment, any service records for the hydraulics or the loader help us read the truck before we see it. Lacking them is no obstacle; describe what the truck hauled and where, and we follow up with questions on what the photos leave open.

West Terminal, the port and the rail yards east of town

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the West Terminal rail intermodal ramp 9.4 miles east of Panama City Beach, and the Panama City Port Authority 14.6 miles east. A day cab that pulls containers between the ramp and the port can stay parked where it last worked; give us the lot name and a gate contact.

Two rail yards, Panama City and Sherman, sit 14.5 miles east on the North American Rail Network. Trucks parked near those yards are within the same drive as the port, so one collection trip can cover a tractor left at either.

The Panama City petroleum product terminal, on Energy Information Administration records, stands 13.7 miles east toward the bay. If your tanker or fuel truck loaded there, keep the tank inspection paperwork with the title, since it tells us what the trailer or body was certified to carry.

Bases and sand

Two bases and a sand pit

Naval Support Activity Panama City lies 8.6 miles south-east and Tyndall Air Force Base 23.4 miles south-east, both on Bureau of Transportation Statistics records. A truck kept on or near either base needs someone who can arrange access for the pickup, so name that person when you first contact us.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Sandhills Plant 2, a sand and gravel operation, 19.8 miles north-east of town. Dump trucks that hauled from that pit can be collected from the pit lot or your yard; tell us which, and send photos of the bed and tailgate with the cab.

Building sites and Bay County farms

The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 929 of the city’s 12,607 jobs in 2023 in construction, a 7.4% share, beside 188 in wholesale trade and 124 in manufacturing. Dump bodies, flatbeds and service trucks off building sites here are trucks we buy, and a site address is enough for us to find one.

County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau records 121 construction establishments, while USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 139 farms across Bay County, with cattle, goats and honey at the top. A stock trailer tractor or farm truck kept out on a Bay County property can be collected there; send directions if the gate is off a dirt road.

How far trucks here travel, and their model years

FMCSA’s carrier census records 264 drivers working within 100 miles of Panama City Beach and 260 going beyond that radius, and across 20 carriers that report mileage the median is 14,750 miles a truck. A long-haul tractor may be away from Bay County when you decide to sell; tell us where it will be parked and we go there.

Roadside inspection records from FMCSA cover 89 trucks inspected between September 2024 and August 2026, with a median model year of 2022 and 25.8% of them ten or more years old. Whatever the model year, have the odometer reading and the VIN ready, along with clear photos of each side.

New registrations on the FMCSA census stand at 11 carriers in 2024 and 9 in 2025. If you started a carrier in either year and are now selling its truck, the title in the company’s name and proof you can sign for the company are what we need.
