Mainland aggregate
Two quarries across the bridge from Pine Island
Jayrock, a crushed-stone quarry the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 24.8 miles north-east of Pine Island Center, is the closer of the two pits on the mainland. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that has hauled aggregate out of there can be sold from wherever it now sits, whether that is a driveway on the island or a yard near the quarry gate.
Twenty-five miles due east, on the federal mine safety agency’s listing, is ALICO ROAD QUARRY, also crushed stone. If your truck has been hauling stone off Alico Road, send us the VIN, a few photos of the body and the chassis, and the address where it is parked, and we will arrange to collect it there rather than ask you to bring it onto the island.
A lost title gets replaced ten miles away in Cape Coral
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles handles titles through county tax collector service centers and license plate agents, and for Pine Island Center the nearest is the Lee County motor vehicle service center - Cape Coral, at 1039 SE 9th Ave., Room #102, Cape Coral, 33990, about 10.6 miles from town. If the title has gone missing, that counter is where a duplicate is requested.
Before we come for the truck, find the title and the current registration, and check that the name on both matches yours. If a lender is still shown on the title, tell us at the start so we can plan for the lien before collection day.
Stock haulers and hive trucks from Lee County ground
Across Lee County, USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 813 farms, and corn, cattle and honey head the county’s list. A stock trailer tractor, a grain truck or a flatbed that has moved hives between fields fits what we take in, and it can stay on the farm where it works until we arrive.
On a Lee County farm the truck may be registered to a spouse, a parent or the farm’s own business name. Check whose name is printed on the title before you contact us, and if it belongs to someone else, have that person ready to sign when we collect the truck.
Island workforce
A small island job base and the trucks behind it
In 2023 the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES) recorded 281 jobs in Pine Island Center. On a working island that size, a box truck, a landscaping dump or a contractor’s flatbed is usually parked at the owner’s home or business, and that is where we pick it up.
If the truck belonged to a business on the island that has since closed or changed hands, gather what records you still have: service invoices, registration renewals and any inspection reports. Those papers, plus clear photos of the cab, the frame and the tires, let us understand the truck before we schedule collection.
Getting it off the island
Collection at the address you give us
Pine Island Center lies on the island road roughly ten miles from the Cape Coral title counter, so the truck does not need to cross to the mainland for anything we do. Give us the street address, a gate code if there is one, and the name of whoever can hand over the keys.
When you reach out, tell us the make, model, model year and VIN, and what the truck was last used for, whether quarry hauling, farm work or island deliveries. That short description is enough for us to ask the right follow-up questions.
