Two rail yards between Rio Pinar and Orlando
West of Rio Pinar, the ORLANDO yard lies 7.3 miles out and TAFT 8 miles toward the south-west, both mapped in the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration keeps with the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. If your tractor shuttles freight between those yards and east Orange County, tell us the lot where it is parked when you first get in touch, and we come to it there.
Before we arrange to collect a rail-yard tractor near TAFT or ORLANDO, have the title in the owner’s name and the current registration in the cab. If a yard gate stands between us and the truck, give us the name of someone on site who can let a driver through.
Tankers and fuel racks
Tank terminals at Heniff, Transflo and the Orlando fuel rack
Heniff, a liquid bulk terminal 8.4 miles west of Rio Pinar, appears in the Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings, and so does Transflo CSXT, another liquid bulk site 20 miles north. A tractor that pulled tankers in and out of either one can be sold from wherever it is parked; send the VIN and a few photos of the cab, frame and tires.
Fuel haulers from Rio Pinar know the ORLANDO petroleum product terminal, which the Energy Information Administration puts 9.5 miles to the south-west. If your truck ran fuel loads from that rack, keep any terminal loading records or service logs with the title, since they tell us what the truck did without a long phone call.
Annex and lab
Naval and Army sites six miles north-east
Two military installations sit 6 miles north-east of Rio Pinar on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics map: the Naval Logistics Support Annex Orlando and the Army Research Lab Orlando Simulations and Training Technology Center. Box trucks and straight trucks that made deliveries out that way are among the vehicles we purchase.
If a truck you own is parked on or near one of those installations, check first whether a visitor pass is needed to reach it, and tell us. We plan the collection around access to the vehicle, so naming the gate rules up front keeps the pickup straightforward.
Quarry and contractors
The quarry east of town and local construction work
S & L Materials Inc, a crushed-stone quarry, is listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration 15 miles east of Rio Pinar. Dump trucks and tractors hauling stone off that site are the sort of equipment we buy, and photos of the bed or trailer help as much as photos of the cab.
Census Bureau LEHD job counts for 2023 put 89 of Rio Pinar’s 843 jobs in construction, a 10.6 percent share. Contractors with a tandem or a flatbed sitting at a job yard here can sell it from that yard; give us the street address and the hours someone is there to hand over the keys.
Growers and greenhouses
Foliage and potted plants across Orange County
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 600 farms in Orange County, and its top products there are foliage plants, propagative material and potted flowering plants. Reefer box trucks and small straight trucks moving nursery stock off those growers’ lots are trucks we will look at.
A grower selling a delivery truck from a farm in Orange County should have the title, registration and any refrigeration unit service records together before calling. If the truck is on a farm road, tell us how a tow or a driver reaches it.
