Two stone quarries within a dozen miles of St. Leo
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Central State Aggregates LLC as a crushed-stone quarry 9.4 miles south of town. A tandem dump or a tractor with an end-dump trailer that hauls rock out of that pit is a truck we buy, and it can stay where it is parked while we arrange collection. Send us the VIN, a few photos of the bed and the cab, and the address of the yard.
Kathleen Mine is another crushed-stone operation listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration, 11 miles south-east of town. If your truck is kept at a contractor’s lot near that quarry rather than at your house in St. Leo, tell us so up front and give us a name to call at the gate. We collect from the spot the truck sits, so nothing has to be driven back into St. Leo first.
Brooksville cement and the County Line Mine to the west
According to the Mine Safety and Health Administration, the Brooksville South Cement Plant stands 20.2 miles north-west of St. Leo. Bulk pneumatic tankers and ready-mix trucks that load there are on the list of vehicles we purchase. If yours has drum or blower records, keep them with the title so the history travels with the truck.
Twenty miles west, the County Line Mine is an industrial-mineral mine on the same federal mine register. Owners whose trucks hauled from that site can sell without moving them east. Give us the location, a contact with a key, and photos taken in daylight from all four sides.
Heniff’s liquid bulk terminal south-east of St. Leo
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Heniff Transportation, a liquid bulk terminal, about 23.9 miles south-east of St. Leo. Day cabs and sleepers that pull tank trailers out of a site like that are trucks we take, with or without the trailer.
When you contact us about a tank tractor from that direction, say whether the trailer is part of the sale and where each unit is parked. Two separate titles mean two separate VINs, so have both ready, along with any inspection reports from the terminal.
Dade City’s Sixth Street office for a lost title
Florida titles come from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and its in-person work is done through county tax collector service centers and license plate agents. For St. Leo, the nearest is the Pasco County motor vehicle service center - Dade City, at the East Pasco Government Center, 14236 Sixth Street, Room #100, Dade City, 33523, which the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles places 4.7 miles from town.
Should the title be missing or still list a lender, the Sixth Street counter in the East Pasco Government Center issues the duplicate and records the lien release. Bring your registration and photo ID when you go, and tell us early if a lien is open, so the sale paperwork matches what the state shows on record.
Farms and home yards
Ranch country and a small working town
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 1,190 farms in Pasco County, and cattle, horses and potted flowering plants top its list. Livestock haulers, flatbeds moving nursery stock and farm-plated straight trucks around St. Leo are all vehicles we buy, and a truck parked in a pasture or behind a barn can be collected from right there.
St. Leo itself is small: the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES) put 747 jobs in town for 2023, for a population of 1,985. Many owners here keep one or two trucks at home, so the sale is usually a single title, a set of photos and a time when someone can meet us at the driveway.
