Rock pits up the road
Two stone quarries inside nine miles of Suncoast Estates
Only 8.4 miles north-east of Suncoast Estates, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Jayrock as an active crushed-stone pit. A truck that has run stone out of a pit that close is usually a tri-axle dump, an end-dump trailer or the tractor that pulls one. If yours is one of those, tell us the body type and the bed length when you first get in touch, and send a photo of the hoist and tailgate along with the cab.
SRM Materials Punta Gorda, also listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as a crushed-stone quarry, sits 9 miles out in the same north-east direction. Owners who hauled between both quarries often keep scale tickets or load logs in the cab. Leave those with the truck; they tell us what it carried and where, which saves a round of questions later.
Minerals to the north
Mineral yards along the road toward Alico
Heading north, the Mine Safety and Health Administration records Bermont Materials Alico, an industrial-mineral mine, at 16.5 miles from town, and Halls Mine, another industrial-mineral site, at 17.2 miles. Trucks that service mineral sites like these can be parked at the mine yard rather than at home. Give us the yard’s name and a contact who can let us through the gate, and we arrange the pickup at that spot.
If the truck is still sitting at Halls Mine or at the Alico site, you do not have to move it back to Suncoast Estates first. Send us the VIN, a current registration and a few clear photos taken where it stands, and that is enough to start.
Fill pits past the county line
Sand haulers north of Suncoast Estates
Washington Loop Mine, a sand and gravel operation 18.3 miles north of the community, appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records alongside Bermont Excavating Site 2, a second sand and gravel operation 18.9 miles to the north-east. Fill and aggregate pits like these keep belly dumps, side dumps and water trucks on the move around Lee County and the county line beyond it.
For a sand or gravel hauler, photos of the trailer’s gates, the frame rails and the tires help us see the whole rig, not only the tractor. Put the title, the registration card and any service records you kept in one folder before we talk, so every answer is in front of you.
Ag loads near home
Hoppers, stock trailers and hive flatbeds from Suncoast Estates
Corn, cattle and honey lead the 813 Lee County farms tallied in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Grain hoppers, livestock trailers and flatbeds that move hives and feed are all trucks we buy from owners around Suncoast Estates.
A farm truck is often titled to the farm itself or to a family member rather than to the person driving it. Check whose name is printed on the title before you contact us, and if it is a business, have the signer who can act for it ready. That one step keeps the transfer simple.
The folder a Suncoast Estates seller should have ready
A clean sale here comes down to three things: the title in your name or your company’s, a registration that matches the VIN on the door, and photos of the truck where it is parked. Service or inspection records are welcome if you have them, but they are not required to begin.
If the title has gone missing, Florida’s duplicate is issued by the state’s title agency, and you can apply for it before or while we talk. Let us know a replacement is on the way so the collection date lines up with the paperwork arriving.
Driveway, quarry lot or sand pit near Suncoast Estates
We come to the truck, whether it sits in a driveway in Suncoast Estates, on a quarry lot toward Punta Gorda or at a sand pit up near Bermont. Give us the street address or the site name and say whether a tow rig can reach it without trouble.
If you no longer live near Lee County, the truck can stay put. Name someone local who can hand over the keys, and the rest of the sale can be handled by phone and email from wherever you are.
The questions we get asked in Suncoast Estates
- Is collection possible right at the Jayrock stone pit, with my tri-axle left where it sits?Jayrock sits 8.4 miles north-east of Suncoast Estates on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and we can collect from the quarry lot itself. Pass along the quarry contact who opens the Jayrock gate.
- I hauled cattle for a Lee County ranch. Do you buy livestock trailers and the tractors that pull them?Cattle ranks among Lee County’s top farm products in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and livestock rigs from those 813 farms are trucks we buy. Send photos of the trailer and the tractor together.
- Our Lee County cattle operation holds the truck’s title, not me personally. Does that work for a sale? Many of Lee County’s 813 farms counted by USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture hold their trucks in the farm’s name, and that works. Whoever is authorised to sign for the farm signs the title at pickup.
