TAFT and WEST yards, five miles toward Orlando
Just 5 miles east of Tangelo Park, the TAFT rail yard shows up in the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A day cab that shuttles trailers or loads between that yard and the warehouses around it is the kind of tractor we collect, and it is often parked near the yard gate or at a lot off the routes running east. Give us the street address where it sits and we will plan the pickup there.
A little farther along the same line, the North American Rail Network places WEST at 5.4 miles east of town. If your truck has worked both yards, tell us which one it ran out of most and send clear photos of the cab, the frame, the fifth wheel and the tires. Having the VIN and the current registration in hand when you contact us lets the rest of the conversation stay short.
Racks and tank lines
Fuel haulers from the ORLANDO terminal and Heniff
Southeast of Tangelo Park, the Energy Information Administration lists a petroleum product terminal named ORLANDO at 5.1 miles. Tractors that pull fuel tankers off its racks, and the straight trucks that deliver from it, both fit what we buy. Keep any tank or hazmat inspection paperwork with the title so it travels with the truck.
Heniff, a liquid bulk terminal 7.2 miles to the north-east according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, handles a second stream of tank traffic. If your tractor has hauled for that site, mention it when you reach out, and list the trailer separately if you are selling it too, with its own VIN and plate.
Sand pits out west
Dump trucks from the sand pits
Mine Safety and Health Administration records show Four Corners Sand Mine 14.6 miles west of Tangelo Park and Center Sand Company at 15 miles in that same direction. Both are sand and gravel operations, the sort of place that keeps dump trucks and end-dump tractors on the move.
A dump truck still parked at one of those pits, or at a contractor’s yard close by, can be collected right where it stands. Send the bed and hoist in your photos along with the cab, and have the title and registration ready for the day we arrive.
Two military sites on the north-east side
According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, NG Orlando Naval Training Center lies 6.6 miles east of Tangelo Park, and Naval Logistics Support Annex Orlando is 17.6 miles to the north-east. Box trucks and tractors that run supplies to installations like these are on our list.
A truck that worked base deliveries may be parked off-site in a contractor lot near either one. Tell us where it is now and who holds the title, so the name on the paperwork matches the person signing when we come for it.
Foliage, potted flowers and the trucks that carry them
Around Tangelo Park the farm economy is greenhouse work: Orange County had 600 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with foliage plants, propagative material and potted flowering plants at the top of its sales list. Reefer straight trucks and box trucks that move plants out of growers’ houses fit what we collect.
A nursery truck usually sits at the grower’s property between loads. Tell us whether the reefer unit or liftgate comes with the sale, include photos of both, and have the title in the grower’s or the business’s name ready to sign.
Sand Lake Road
Titles in this state come from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, which lists the Orange County motor vehicle service center - Orlando at 730 Sand Lake Road, Suite #106B, Orlando, 32809, 3.5 miles from Tangelo Park. That office is one of the county tax collector service centers and license plate agents the department uses to handle titles.
A seller in Tangelo Park without the paper title can apply for a duplicate at that Sand Lake Road counter ahead of the pickup. Bring your ID and the VIN, and if a lender is still shown on the title, ask about the lien release while you are there so the paperwork is clear for the sale.
