Quarry and cement trucks west and north of The Crossings
Krome Quarry, a crushed-stone pit five miles west, appears in the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s mine listings, and Miami Quarry sits 8.8 miles north on the same register. If your dump truck or end-dump hauls aggregate out of either one, it may well be parked at a yard near the pits when we collect it, so give us that yard’s address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
Eight miles north is the Miami Cement Plant, and Epic Stoneworks, a dimension-stone quarry, is 8.4 miles north-east; MSHA lists both. A mixer, bulk tanker or flatbed that has worked those sites should come with its title, current registration and any service records you kept, plus photos of the drum or deck as well as the cab.
GENERAL CEMENT, a rail yard 6.2 miles west on the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, sits in the same western corridor. Tell us whether the truck is near that siding, out at a quarry or back in a driveway in The Crossings, and we plan the pickup around where it actually stands.
PortMiami, Hialeah and the freight lanes east
PortMiami is 7.4 miles south-west by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ port listing. A day cab that has pulled containers off its terminals can be sold without driving it back across the county; send the VIN, the odometer reading and a photo of the registration, and we come to the lot where it is parked.
The HIALEAH (FEC) rail yard, 11.9 miles north-east on the North American Rail Network, is the other freight hub within reach. Tractors working between the rail ramp and the port usually carry an interstate or intrastate authority, so have the DOT number handy along with the title when you reach out.
General freight, car haulers and reefers on Crossings driveways
Of the 601 active carriers that FMCSA’s carrier census places in The Crossings, general freight is the cargo line on 348. The same FMCSA records show 63 hauling motor vehicles, 52 carrying paper products and 51 moving refrigerated food, so tell us whether yours is a car hauler, a reefer or a dry van and send a photo of the body.
Of those carriers, 480 are registered for intrastate work, 118 for interstate and 170 run private fleets, the same federal census shows. A private-fleet truck owned by a business is sold the same way as any other: the titled owner signs, and we need the title and the name of the person authorised to sign for the company.
Drivers working inside 100 miles number 1,321 against 838 who go farther, according to the FMCSA census, and the 105 carriers that reported mileage put a median of 25,000 miles on each truck. Let us know whether the truck is at a home yard in the county or out on a run, and we time the pickup for when it is parked.
What the roadside inspectors logged on local trucks
Between late August 2024 and late August 2026, inspectors stopped 492 trucks belonging to Crossings carriers, and FMCSA roadside inspection records give their median model year as 2017. Write down the year, make and model from the title before you call, since those three details start every conversation we have.
Those FMCSA roadside records put about 42 percent of the 492 inspected trucks at ten or more model years old. Whatever the year, send clear photos of each side, the cab interior and the dash, and keep any inspection reports together with the title.
Selling one truck or several from a local fleet
The three biggest fleets on the FMCSA census here run 197, 173 and 89 power units, with 185, 112 and 62 drivers. If you are clearing several trucks from a yard of that size, send a list of VINs with each unit’s location, and we can collect them together or one at a time.
New registrations keep arriving: the carrier census logs 44 new carriers in 2025 and 30 in 2024. If you started a company recently and are now selling its truck, have the title in the company’s name and your registration paperwork ready.
Construction, nurseries and the base to the south
Construction accounts for 264 of the 3,600 jobs located in The Crossings in 2023, or 7.3 percent, on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, with 74 in manufacturing and 65 in wholesale trade. Building contractors outnumber warehouses here 335 to 3 by establishment count in the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns. If yours is a dump truck, stake bed or service body from a building firm, tell us which site or driveway it sits on.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture records 2,664 farms in Miami-Dade County, led by foliage plants, potted flowering plants and cut flowers. A box truck or reefer that has hauled nursery stock can be collected from the farm itself; tell us the property and whether a larger truck can turn in there.
Homestead ARB lies 11.5 miles south on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ list of military installations. If you are posted there or leaving the area and the truck stays behind, give us the address where it is parked and a contact who can meet us.

- I drive a day cab out of PortMiami. Can you pick it up near the port?PortMiami is 7.4 miles south-west of The Crossings by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, and we can collect from a lot near it. Have the title, the registration and the VIN ready when you contact us.
- Our foliage nursery’s box truck never leaves the farm; what do you need from us?Miami-Dade County has 2,664 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and we pick up from farm properties. Send photos of the box and cab, the title and the farm’s address with a note on access for a truck.
- The truck belongs to a business that hauls its own goods, so whose signature goes on the title?170 of the 601 carriers in The Crossings on FMCSA’s carrier census run private fleets, and for any of them the titled owner signs. Tell us who is authorised to sign for the business and send the title in the company’s name.
