Two yards and a ramp toward Tampa
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places the Yeoman rail yard 8.2 miles south-west of Thonotosassa and the Uceta yard just past it at 8.3 miles. A day cab that shuttles boxes between those yards and east Hillsborough is often parked back at a home lot off the county roads, so give us that lot’s address and gate details when you get in touch.
Tampa’s rail intermodal ramp lies 8 miles to the south-west, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. If your tractor pulls containers off that ramp, send the VIN, the title and a few photos of the cab, the frame and the fifth wheel with your first message.
Tank work toward Ybor and the port
Listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics at 10.2 miles, the Transflo CSXT liquid bulk terminal shares that distance with the Tampa Port Authority, which lies due south of town. Tankers that load at either one usually come home to Thonotosassa at night, and that home yard is where we would arrange collection.
Two petroleum product terminals sit just beyond them on Energy Information Administration listings: one named TAMPA at 10.5 miles and the Ybor asphalt terminal at 10.8 miles, both south-west. For a fuel or asphalt hauler, keep its tank inspection paperwork with the title, since those documents travel with the tractor when it changes hands.
Quarry trucks and construction crews
Central State Aggregates runs a crushed-stone quarry 10.9 miles north of town, per the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Dump trucks and tractors with end-dumps that load there count as work trucks we collect, and a truck parked at a job site rather than a yard is fine as long as you tell us how to reach it.
Hillsborough-area construction held 957 jobs among Thonotosassa’s workplaces in 2023 on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and County Business Patterns lists 155 construction establishments. If a contractor here is clearing out a dump truck or a flatbed that hauled equipment, the registration and any service records are the two things to pull together first.
Who registers trucks along Thonotosassa’s lake roads
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 125 active carriers here, with 57 hauling general freight, 19 moving machinery and large objects, 16 carrying motor vehicles and 11 hauling logs, poles, beams and lumber. Car haulers, lowboys and log trucks all fit what we take, so tell us the body or trailer setup along with the tractor.
Of those carriers, the same census shows 99 operating intrastate, 24 crossing state lines and 50 operating as private fleets that haul their own goods. FMCSA’s census also puts 1,253 drivers inside a 100-mile radius and 135 beyond it, and either way we come to the truck where it is parked.
The three biggest fleets on FMCSA’s census list 91, 34 and 24 power units, while the census also records 13 new carriers registering in 2024 and 5 in 2025. A one-truck owner and a fleet manager selling several units follow the same steps: one title per truck, and photos of each.
FMCSA roadside inspection records cover 244 trucks from carriers here, inspected between September 2024 and August 2026, with a median model year of 2018. Of those 244 trucks, 38.5 percent carried a model year at least a decade back, per the same FMCSA roadside inspection records.
Thirty-one local carriers file yearly mileage with FMCSA, and their median truck logs 50,000 miles a year. Note the odometer reading with the VIN when you contact us, as those are the first two details we ask for on every truck.
Warehousing, farms and cattle
Transportation and warehousing accounted for 988 of the 4,791 jobs counted in Thonotosassa for 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, a 20.6 percent share, with wholesale trade adding 227 and manufacturing 303. Box trucks and tractors that run between those warehouses fall within what we collect when the title is in the seller’s name.
Aquatic plants top Hillsborough County’s farm output, ahead of cattle and transplants, across the 1,992 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. A cattle hauler, a nursery stake truck or a flatbed that moves transplants can be collected right from the farm, so share the farm gate location and the best hours to reach it.
