Closest site
County Line Mine, just south-east of town
The Mine Safety and Health Administration records County Line Mine, an industrial-mineral mine, 3.2 miles south-east of Timber Pines. A dump truck or tractor that ran loads out of that gate may still be sitting on a lot within a few minutes of it, and that is where we would collect it from.
If the truck is parked on mine property rather than at your home, tell us who controls the gate there. Pickup at a mine yard goes smoothly when someone on site knows the truck is leaving and can let the crew in.
Have the Florida title in your own name ready, along with the registration, and gather any service log the mine office kept for the unit while it worked that site.
Two stone pits
Stone from Spring Hill and Brooksville pits
Georgia Stone Spring Hill Quarry, a crushed-stone operation, lies 8.9 miles south-east according to Mine Safety and Health Administration listings. Brooksville Quarry, also crushed stone, is 12.6 miles north-east on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s records. Between them they cover both sides of Timber Pines.
Tell us which of the two quarries the truck hauled from and whether it is still parked there. One lies toward Spring Hill and the other toward Brooksville, so naming the site points our crew to the right side of town.
Photos help us most when they show the whole truck: the cab, the frame rails, the bed or fifth wheel, the tires and the VIN plate. Send those with the odometer reading and we can start on the paperwork.
Kiln country
Brooksville South Cement Plant
At 13.5 miles north-east, the Brooksville South Cement Plant appears in the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s facility list as the farthest of the four sites near Timber Pines. Bulk tankers and mixers that served that plant are the kind of equipment that ends up parked in Hernando County driveways.
If a tanker or mixer body is mounted on the chassis, say so up front and include a photo of it. We buy the whole unit as it sits, so describing the body alongside the tractor or straight truck keeps the conversation about the right vehicle.
Hand over any plant-issued site pass, scale ticket history or inspection report you kept along with the title. None of it is required, but it tells us where the truck has been working.
Livestock
Hernando County herds: cattle, horses, goats
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 761 farms in Hernando County, with cattle, equine and goats as the leading categories. Stock trailers, horse haulers and the pickups or tractors that pull them are common on those properties.
When the truck is out on a pasture or behind a barn, give us the farm address and a note on how to reach it, such as a gate code or a dirt lane to follow. Leave the truck on the pasture where it sits; our crew comes out to it.
Ranch trucks often carry a title that was signed over years ago and never transferred. Check the name on yours before we arrive; if it does not match, Florida’s title agency is the office that corrects it, and a lost title is replaced there too.
Home base
Working out of Timber Pines
Timber Pines held 759 jobs in 2023 on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, a figure for work located inside the community. If you live here and work at a quarry, the cement plant or a farm, the truck could be parked at home or at the job.
Tell us both addresses if you are unsure where the truck will be on collection day. We can arrange the pickup at home or at the work site, whichever suits you.
