Quarry roads east of Villas
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Alico Road Quarry, a crushed-stone operation, 8.2 miles south-east of Villas, and the Fort Myers Mine, also crushed stone, 10.2 miles to the east. A dump truck or tractor that has shuttled aggregate out of either pit may still be parked at a yard along that corridor, so tell us the street address and who holds the gate key when you first get in touch.
Farther out, Bell Mine, an industrial-mineral site, lies 16.1 miles east and the Corkscrew sand and gravel operation 18.4 miles east, again per the Mine Safety and Health Administration. If your truck is sitting at one of those sites, you can leave it there; send photos of the cab, the body and the VIN plate and we arrange collection at that location.
Thirty-five carriers, nearly all in-state
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 35 active motor carriers based in Villas, and 34 of them are registered for intrastate work against a single interstate operator. For a seller, that usually means the truck’s paperwork is Florida-only: have the Florida title and current registration together before we schedule pickup.
Thirteen of those 35 carriers run as private fleets, hauling their own goods rather than for hire, according to the same FMCSA census. If your truck belonged to a business that moved its own materials, the title may be in the company’s name, so check who signs it before we talk about collection.
Ten Villas carriers in FMCSA’s census list general freight as cargo, six list machinery and large objects, three list garbage and refuse, and three list motor vehicles. Tell us which of those your truck carried and what body or trailer setup it has, whether a box, a lowboy, a roll-off frame or a car hauler deck.
Small outfits and one ten-truck operation
The biggest fleet in Villas on FMCSA’s carrier census runs 10 power units with 9 drivers; the next holds 4 power units and 4 drivers, and a third has 2 power units and 3 drivers. Owners of one truck and owners of several are both welcome, and if you are selling more than one unit, list each VIN so we can go through them together.
New registrations have been sparse: FMCSA records one new Villas carrier in 2025 and none in 2024. If you are winding down an operation that registered years ago, keep your USDOT number handy, since it ties the truck to the carrier on file.
Most Villas drivers work a short radius
Of the drivers on Villas carriers’ FMCSA filings, 106 keep within a 100-mile radius while 18 range past that line. Most local trucks should therefore be parked somewhere in the Lee County area when we come for them, and a nearby address makes the visit simple to plan.
A truck driven by one of the longer-range drivers on that FMCSA census may be out of town when you decide to sell. Tell us where it will be parked on the day, not where the company is based, and we work the pickup around that spot.
Between September 2024 and August 2026, FMCSA roadside inspection records logged 27 trucks from Villas carriers, with 2016 as the middle model year. Put the model year, make and engine on your first message alongside the VIN, which lets us identify the exact truck.
In those same FMCSA inspection records, about 48 percent of the inspected Villas trucks were ten or more model years old. Whatever the year of yours, gather the service records and the most recent inspection report and send them with the photos.
Building trades around Villas
Of 15,238 jobs counted around Villas in 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, construction accounts for 1,407, or 9.2 percent. Dump trucks, flatbeds and equipment haulers that served building sites are trucks we buy, so let us know which job sites the truck was working when you last used it.
Lee County builders show up too: the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns tallies 142 construction establishments for this Villas area. A contractor selling a truck that sits in a company yard should tell us the yard’s hours and who can let us in.
The LEHD job counts also place 312 jobs in wholesale trade, 237 in transportation and warehousing, and 186 in manufacturing. Box trucks and day cabs from those businesses are welcome too; send the registration and a photo of the odometer with the VIN.
Farm trucks from Lee County fields
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 813 farms in Lee County, with corn, cattle and honey at the top of its list. Farm trucks, livestock haulers and grain trucks from those operations can be sold to us straight from the property where they are kept.
If a farm truck is parked out on a pasture or behind a barn, describe the access road and whether a tow truck can reach it, so the collection goes the way you expect.
The questions we get asked in Villas
- My dump truck sits in a lot by the Alico Road Quarry; does it have to come into Villas first? The Mine Safety and Health Administration places the Alico Road Quarry 8.2 miles south-east of Villas, and we collect from that area directly. Send the lot’s address off Alico Road and the name of whoever unlocks it.
- Our trucks never left Florida; does an intrastate-only history matter to you?Thirty-four of the 35 Villas carriers on FMCSA’s carrier census are intrastate operators, so an in-state truck is the usual case here. Keep the Florida title and registration together and send a photo of each with the VIN.
- There is a grain truck on our Lee County farm; will you collect it from there?Lee County has 813 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and trucks from them are part of what we buy. Tell us where on the property the truck is parked and how to reach it.
- We have four trucks on a Villas carrier’s authority; can all of them go in one sale?Villas fleets on FMCSA’s carrier census range up to 10 power units, and selling several at once is fine. Send each VIN with photos so every truck is covered.
