West of the lagoon
Sand and gravel on the mainland side
Wabasso Beach’s nearest aggregate work is on the mainland: the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Vero Rock and Sand, a sand and gravel operation, 6.6 miles west of town. A dump truck or end-dump trailer that hauls from a pit that close is usually parked on a yard near it, so give us the yard address rather than a home address.
A second sand and gravel site lies a little further out to the south-west. If your truck splits its loads between the two pits, mention both, and send photos of the bed, the hoist and the tailgate along with the cab.
Quarry loads south and west
A stone quarry and a mineral pit further inland
On the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, Brisbane Pit is an industrial-mineral mine 15.4 miles west of town, and Capron Trails Mine is a crushed-stone quarry 16.5 miles south. A truck that runs stone or mineral loads out of either site can be collected at the quarry gate or at the shop where it is kept, whichever suits you.
For a tri-axle or a tractor pulling aggregate trailers from Capron Trails, send the VIN, a clear shot of the odometer and a picture of the data plate on the door. Those three items let us identify the exact truck and its specification.
Fort Pierce yards
Containers and rail at Fort Pierce
Twenty-two miles south, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists a rail intermodal ramp at Fort Pierce, 22.2 miles from Wabasso Beach. Day cabs that shuttle containers to that ramp often stay parked near it between moves, so tell us whether the tractor sits in Fort Pierce or back up the road in Indian River County.
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows two rail yards at Fort Pierce, 22.7 and 22.8 miles away. A drayage tractor working those yards is one we can pick up on site; have the registration and the title together so the handover at the yard is a matter of signatures.
Sebastian Corners Plaza
A lost certificate is replaced in Sebastian
In this part of Florida, county tax collector service centers and license plate agents carry out title work on behalf of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. For Wabasso Beach the nearest is the Indian River County motor vehicle service center in Sebastian, at Sebastian Corners Plaza, 1921 US Hwy 1, Sebastian, 32958, which the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles places 7.2 miles from town.
If the title for your truck has gone missing, a duplicate comes from that Sebastian tax collector office. If a lender is still shown on it, bring the lien release with you, because the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles prints the lienholder on the certificate and we need a clear one to complete the sale.
Groves, pasture and ponds
Cattle, horses and aquatic plants on the mainland
Across Indian River County, 492 farms are counted in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and its top listed categories are aquatic plants, cattle and equine. A livestock trailer, a horse hauler or a straight truck used around nursery ponds is something we will look at, as is the tractor that pulls it.
Farm trucks around Wabasso Beach often carry farm tags rather than commercial plates. Whatever tag is on yours, photograph the registration alongside the title, and tell us which barn, pasture or nursery the truck is kept at so we can find it on the day of collection.
A small island town
Few jobs on the island, trucks parked off it
For 2023 the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts credit Wabasso Beach with 257 jobs across all employers in town. Heavy trucks tied to the town are typically kept at a yard, a farm or a job site, so the address you give us is often not the street you live on.
To sell, call us or fill in the quote form. Tell us the make, model and year, where the truck is parked, and who holds the title; once we have photos, we arrange collection from wherever it sits, from town to the Fort Pierce yards.
