Vero Rock and Sand and the Blue Goose pit
Vero Rock and Sand, a sand and gravel operation 4 miles south-west of Wabasso, appears in the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list of mine sites, and the Blue Goose Mine sits just beyond it at 4.5 miles in that same direction. Dump trucks and tri-axles that haul from either pit are trucks we buy, and we collect from the yard or driveway where yours stands.
If your truck has been hauling out of those two pits, photograph the bed, the tailgate, the hoist and the cab, and note the VIN plate. Send those with the registration so the questions we come back with are about your truck alone.
Owners who ran a single truck for the pits often keep fuel slips and service invoices in the cab. Gather them before we talk; they tell the truck’s story in a way a photo of the dash cannot.
North-west and due south
End-dumps working a mineral pit and a crushed-stone face
Thirteen miles to the north-west, Brisbane Pit is recorded by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as an industrial-mineral mine, while Capron Trails Mine, a crushed-stone quarry, lies 15.6 miles south of Wabasso on that agency’s register. A truck that has worked stone or mineral loads between those two sites may be sitting at either end of the route when you decide to sell.
Wherever it is, give us the street address or the gate it sits behind, plus the name of whoever holds the key. We plan the pickup around that spot rather than asking you to move the truck toward Wabasso.
For a quarry tractor pulling an end-dump, list the trailer separately from the tractor, with its own VIN and registration, so both pieces of paperwork are ready when we arrive.
Day cabs that meet the trains below Vero Rock and Sand
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists a rail intermodal ramp at Fort Pierce, 22.7 miles south of Wabasso, and the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration with that bureau, shows two yards there at 23.2 and 23.3 miles. Day cabs and sleepers that pull containers off that ramp belong on the list of what we purchase.
If your tractor has worked the Fort Pierce ramp, tell us the year, make and model, then the VIN and odometer reading. Every other question follows from those, and a chassis owner can mention the container chassis at the same time.
A tractor that ends its shifts in Fort Pierce does not need to come back north to Wabasso first. Give us the lot where it is parked and a contact there, and the collection happens on site.
Lost paperwork goes to the Sebastian tax collector desk
Florida titles are issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and its location list names the Indian River County motor vehicle service center - Sebastian, at Sebastian Corners Plaza, 1921 US Hwy 1, Sebastian, 32958, about 5.8 miles from Wabasso. That office is one of the county tax collector service centers and license plate agents that handle titles for the department.
If the title for your truck is lost, or still lists a lienholder whose lien has been released, start at the Sebastian center before you contact us. Bring your registration and a lien release letter if one applies, and ask for a duplicate in your name.
Once the title is in hand, check that the VIN on it matches the plate on the door jamb and the frame. Send a photo of the title’s front with the rest of your pictures.
Six structures, no postings
Clearances on the routes around Wabasso
In the National Bridge Inventory kept by the Federal Highway Administration, the six structures recorded around Wabasso carry no load posting, and none of them is under fourteen feet. A tall dump body or a loaded lowboy can be reached on local roads without a detour for clearance.
Tell us whether the truck is parked on pavement, sand or grass, and whether a rollback or a tow rig can turn around beside it. That is the one site detail we ask for on every pickup here.
Builders, wholesalers, ranches
Job-site box trucks, nursery haulers and horse rigs
Of 808 jobs counted in Wabasso for 2023 in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, 88 are in construction, a 10.9 percent share, and 59 are in wholesale trade at 7.3 percent. Box trucks, stake beds and flatbeds that serve job sites and distribution work are all trucks we buy here.
Countywide, 492 farms are recorded in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and aquatic plants, cattle and equine head that county’s list. A livestock hauler, a horse trailer tractor or a nursery straight truck from those farms is welcome too; tell us what it pulled and where it is kept on the property.
Have the registration, the title and a set of clear photos ready for any of these: the four sides, the cab, the gauges with the key on, and the VIN plate.
