Fuel terminals five to eight miles north-east
The Energy Information Administration places the Port Everglades petroleum product terminal 5.6 miles north-east of West Park and the Port Everglades East Terminal 7.8 miles to the north. If your tractor has been pulling fuel out of either gate, keep any terminal loading records or inspection sheets with the title and send copies along with your photos.
RSI Logistics, a liquid bulk terminal, sits 7.9 miles north of town on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics list. A tank-hauling tractor parked near one of these Broward terminals can stay there; send us the yard address and the name of whoever controls access, and we plan collection around that lot.
Container ramps and the Southport roll-on dock
According to the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration with the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the Port Everglades ICTF rail yard lies 7.1 miles north-east of West Park. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics separately lists the Fort Lauderdale Intermodal Container Transfer Facility ramp at 7.5 miles and a second Fort Lauderdale intermodal ramp 7.8 miles north. Day cabs that shuttle boxes between those ramps and the docks are trucks we buy; start by sending the VIN and current odometer reading.
Port Everglades’ Southport Terminal, a roll-on/roll-off dock that the Bureau of Transportation Statistics puts 7.5 miles north-east, handles vehicles driven on and off ships. If your rig is a car carrier or a driveaway setup that loads near Southport, photograph the deck and ramps as well as the cab so the description and the pictures line up.
Box trucks and tractors in that line of work are the bulk of what sellers here will have, so have the registration, the title and a few clear photos of each side ready when you reach out.
Motor vehicles are a listed cargo for 32 West Park carriers in the same federal census, with 14 more listing driveaway or towaway work and 13 hauling machinery or large objects. Rollbacks, car haulers and lowboys all fit what we collect; tell us the body type and the trailer it pairs with, if any.
Of those 134 outfits, FMCSA classes 99 as intrastate and 35 as interstate, with 30 operating as private fleets moving their own goods. An intrastate truck that never left Florida still needs its Florida title in hand; if that title is missing, the state’s title agency handles the replacement before the sale.
The biggest fleets based here, going by FMCSA’s carrier census, run 24 power units with 20 drivers, 9 units with 11 drivers, and 5 units with a single driver. An owner selling two or three units from a yard that size can send one list of VINs and we handle them as a single collection.
New authorities keep appearing in West Park: the federal carrier census records 16 carriers registering in 2024 and 8 more in 2025. If you bought a truck to start out and are now letting it go, the paperwork from that purchase, including the title and any service invoices, is what we will ask to see.
Note your own truck’s annual figure and its odometer reading when you contact us; it is one of the first things we record.
Construction accounts for 755 of West Park’s 2,494 jobs, or 30.3 percent, in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023. Dump trucks, flatbeds and equipment haulers from those job sites are often parked at a contractor’s yard rather than a driveway, so give us that address and a contact who can open the gate.
The same LEHD figures show 140 wholesale trade jobs and 58 in transportation and warehousing here. A straight truck used for wholesale deliveries can be collected from the warehouse lot where it sits; just tell us the loading hours so pickup does not block the dock.
Nursery and equine trucks across the county
Nursery box trucks and horse-hauling rigs from those farms are welcome; tell us whether a trailer or stock body goes with the truck.
Farm trucks on Broward nurseries are frequently titled in a business name, not a person’s. Have the business owner or an authorised officer ready to sign, along with the registration, so the title transfers cleanly.
The questions we get asked in West Park
