Yards and ramps north-east of Westgate
Only 3.3 miles north-east of Westgate is the WEST PALM BEACH rail yard, a site recorded in the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain. A day cab that shuttles between that yard and nearby lots is the kind of tractor we collect, and it can stay parked where it is between runs; send us the street address and a photo of the VIN plate.
Further along the same bearing, about 5.4 miles out, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists the Palm Beach Terminal rail intermodal ramp and the Port of Palm Beach roll-on/roll-off terminal, and the rail network adds a PORT OF PALM BEACH yard at that distance. If your tractor pulls containers or chassis off those docks, tell us which gate it uses and whether a port pass is needed to reach it, so the pickup is planned around the terminal’s rules.
The petroleum terminal on the West Palm Beach side
A petroleum product terminal named WEST PALM BEACH sits 5.3 miles north-east of town in the Energy Information Administration’s listing. Tank trucks and tractors with tanker trailers that load there are on the list of what we buy; photograph the tank, the valves and the placard holders along with the cab, and keep any inspection reports for the tank with the title.
Half a mile south-east, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records a military installation, NAVRESCEN W Palm Beach. Trucks kept in yards around it are collected from the yard itself; give us the name of whoever controls the gate and a phone number for them, and we arrange access with that person directly.
Stone and fill
Aggregate runs to the west
Palm Beach Aggregates LLC operates a crushed-stone quarry 16.6 miles west of Westgate, on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that haul stone out of a pit like that one are trucks we purchase, and they can be collected at the quarry lot or at your shop in town, whichever is easier to reach.
Out past the quarry, roughly 24.3 miles west, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Port of Palm Beach District. A truck parked out that way rather than in Westgate is collected where it stands; tell us the spot and whether a loader or another truck blocks it in.
Westgate had 3,051 jobs in 2023 according to the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Construction made up 223 of them, a 7.3 percent share in that same LEHD series, which puts dump bodies, flatbeds and box trucks for building work among the trucks owners here are likely to have.
For a contractor’s truck, gather the registration, the title and any service invoices the shop has kept before you contact us. A company truck titled to a business also needs the name of the person allowed to sign for it, so have that ready as well.
Growers and stables
Foliage growers and equine barns around Westgate
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 1,368 farms in Palm Beach County, and its top listings there are foliage plants, potted flowering plants and equine. Box trucks and refrigerated straight trucks that carry plants from nurseries, and stake bodies or horse haulers working the stables, fit what we collect.
A truck kept on a nursery or farm property is picked up where it stands. Mark the entrance on a map pin, say whether the ground is paved or grass, and tell us if a gate code is needed.
Before we talk
Westgate paperwork, VIN to lien
Start with the VIN, the odometer reading, the title and the current registration. Add photos of all four sides, the cab interior and the plate on the door jamb.
If the title is missing, say so in your first message; the state’s title agency in Florida issues replacements, and knowing early lets us tell you which form fits your case. A lien on the title is fine to mention too, along with the lender’s name.
The questions we get asked in Westgate
- Can my tractor stay at its spot beside the Palm Beach Terminal intermodal ramp in the port? The Bureau of Transportation Statistics puts the Palm Beach Terminal ramp about 5.4 miles north-east of Westgate, and we collect from there. Tell us who controls the lot and whether a port pass is needed.
- Will you take a dump truck that hauls crushed stone out of Palm Beach Aggregates?Palm Beach Aggregates LLC runs a crushed-stone quarry 16.6 miles west of Westgate on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, and dump trucks that work runs like that are among the trucks we buy. A VIN, a title and a few photos of the dump body are enough for a first message from Westgate.
- Would a Westgate box truck that delivers potted foliage for a nursery qualify?Foliage plants and potted flowering plants lead Palm Beach County’s farm listings in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and box trucks from nursery work are trucks we collect. We pick it up at the nursery if that is where it is kept.
