Fort Pierce tracks
Fort Pierce yards just up the road
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places rail yards at Fort Pierce 4.3 miles north of White City. A tractor that shuttles freight to and from those tracks is often parked close to them between loads. Give us the yard or lot address and the name of whoever holds the gate key, and the collection can be planned around that spot.
A rail intermodal ramp at Fort Pierce, 4.8 miles north, appears in Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings. Day cabs and sleepers that move boxes off a ramp like that are part of what we take. Start with the VIN, the cab type and a photo of the door sticker, and send the registration card with them so the paperwork matches the truck from the first message.
Crushed stone off the Capron and Fort Pierce pits
Two crushed-stone quarries sit within 14 miles, according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration: Fort Pierce Mine, 11.9 miles to the south-west, and Capron Trails Mine, 13.5 miles to the north-west. Dump trucks, end-dump tractors and water trucks tied to quarry work fit what we purchase. If your truck is still on a quarry property, tell us which one and who on site can let a driver in.
Farther out, Mine Safety and Health Administration records show Palm City Mine, a sand and gravel operation 20.7 miles south, and MC320 Mine, another sand and gravel site 23.6 miles south, plus 1412 Canal Point, an industrial-mineral mine 22 miles to the south-west. A truck kept at any of them does not need to come back to White City first. Photograph the body, the hoist and the cab, and keep any service records together for when we call.
Builders’ rigs
Over a quarter of White City’s jobs build things
The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts tie 313 White City jobs to construction in 2023, which is 27 percent of the 1,159 counted in town that year. Contractors’ dump trucks, flatbeds, stake beds and service bodies are all trucks we will look at. Note the body type and its length when you describe yours, since that is the first thing we ask about a work truck.
A construction truck often sits at a jobsite or a contractor’s yard rather than at home. Tell us exactly where it is parked today, whether a tow vehicle can reach it on firm ground, and whether the title is in your name or your company’s, so the bill of sale goes to the right signer.
Ranch and apiary
Cattle, honey and hogs in St. Lucie County
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture puts cattle, honey and hogs at the top of the county’s output, across 404 farms in the county around White City. Livestock haulers, flatbeds used for hay or hives, and farm-plated trucks are welcome. If yours carries farm tags, say so when you contact us and send a photo of the plate with the registration card.
Farm trucks are frequently stored in a barn or pasture away from the road. Describe the gate, the ground and any low branches on the way in, and send a picture of the title front and back so any lienholder listed there can be cleared before pickup day.
Overhead and weight
Five local bridges, no posted limits
Five bridges serve White City in the National Bridge Inventory kept by the Federal Highway Administration, and none of the five is load-posted or under 14 feet of clearance. A tall or heavy truck parked in town therefore has no posted bridge limit inside the local count. Mention any private gate, carport or overhang at the parking spot instead, since those are what a driver needs to know.
If the title has gone missing, the state’s title agency issues a duplicate, and we can tell you which form to start with once we know how the truck is titled. Bring that duplicate, or proof you applied for it, along with your photo ID when the sale is set.
