Burley’s product terminals, four miles out
The Energy Information Administration lists two petroleum product terminals, Burley and the Burley Product Terminal, each about 4 miles south-east of Heyburn. If your truck has loaded fuel at either one, note which terminal and what it hauled from there when you first get in touch.
A tractor that worked the Burley racks is often parked close by, so give us the yard address and a name for whoever holds the gate key. Pictures of the cab, the frame and the fifth wheel, sent along with the VIN, let us line up collection near those terminals without you moving the truck.
Yards at Rupert and up the line at Minidoka
Rupert’s rail yard, 7.1 miles north-east of Heyburn, appears in the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain. Trucks that shuttle loads to and from that yard can stay where they last parked; tell us the spot and we plan around it.
The Minidoka yard sits 18.6 miles north-east of town on the North American Rail Network. If your truck finished its working life out near Minidoka and you now live elsewhere, leave it there and handle the paperwork from home, with someone local able to unlock it.
Grain, produce and general freight carriers
FMCSA’s carrier census counts 68 active carriers based in Heyburn, with 37 listing general freight and 27 listing grain, feed and hay. Fourteen list dry bulk commodities and the same 14 list fresh produce, also per that census. Hopper trailers, flatbeds and reefer units all fit what we purchase from these operators.
Among those 68, FMCSA’s records show 27 authorised for interstate work, 41 intrastate only and 35 operating as private fleets. On driver range, the same federal census reports 71 drivers staying within 100 miles and 58 going beyond. Tell us whether your truck ran local routes around Minidoka County or long hauls so we ask the right questions first.
Heyburn fleets, their miles and their model years
One Heyburn carrier runs 37 power units with 13 drivers, and two others field 6 and 5, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. Whether you are selling a single tractor or several units from a yard of that size, a list of VINs and the matching titles is the place to start.
For the 16 carriers reporting it, FMCSA records a median of 31,737 miles per truck each year. Heyburn-based trucks stopped for 30 roadside checks from September 2024 to August 2026 had a median model year of 2014.5 in FMCSA roadside inspection records, and 66.67 percent of them were ten or more model years old. Have the odometer reading and any service records ready alongside the title.
Milk, barley, wheat
Dairy, barley and the plants that employ the town
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 454 farms in Minidoka County, with milk, barley and wheat leading their output. Feed trucks, grain trailers and bulk milk tankers working those operations are all trucks we collect from the farmyard where they sit.
Of the 1,149 Heyburn jobs in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023, manufacturing held 319, or 27.8 percent, and wholesale trade held 108, or 9.4 percent. Box trucks, dump trucks and delivery units from these employers can be collected at the plant or job site.
Lost titles and newly registered Heyburn carriers
Heyburn added 4 carriers to FMCSA’s carrier census in 2024, then another 3 during 2025. Newer operators sometimes hold a truck still financed or titled under a previous owner; tell us who is on the title and whether a lender is listed.
If the title is lost, a replacement comes from the state’s title agency, and starting that request before collection keeps the sale on track. Keep the registration and the VIN plate details together with the replacement paperwork so everything matches.
