Calcar Quarry, a crushed-stone operation the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 1.8 miles south-east of Paoli, and Cave Quarries Inc, 3.9 miles west, sit close enough that a dump truck can cycle between pit and town all day. If your truck hauls aggregate from either one, tell us which quarry it is parked at and who holds the gate key, and we will collect it there.
North of town the Mine Safety and Health Administration records the Mitchell Plant, a cement plant 12.9 miles away, plus dimension-stone sites at Earthworks Quarry Site #7 and Eureka Underground, 18 and 22 miles out on that agency’s list. To the north-west, Shoals Mine is an industrial-mineral mine the Mine Safety and Health Administration places 15.8 miles from Paoli. A truck kept on a mine property out there can stay put; give us the mine contact and the hours the site is open.
If you run one of those, the truck’s title is likely in the business name, so bring the paperwork that shows who can sign for the company.
Of those 70, 23 list general freight, 21 machinery and large objects, 20 logs, poles, beams and lumber, and 12 grain, feed and hay, again on the federal carrier census. A log truck, a lowboy or a grain hopper from one of those outfits is a straightforward pickup; list the trailer separately if it goes with the tractor.

MITCHELL, a rail yard the North American Rail Network places 12.4 miles north, and the Southern Indiana District port, which the Bureau of Transportation Statistics puts 15.8 miles south-east, both draw trucks that shuttle freight to them. A tractor parked at a yard or terminal lot can be collected in place once the lot operator knows we are coming.
Construction accounts for 345 of the 2,228 jobs in Paoli in 2023, a 15.5 percent share, with manufacturing at 126 jobs, according to the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. If your dump truck, flatbed or equipment hauler came off those job sites, list any attachments that go with it.
