IMI, Ridgeville and Luray pits around town
IMI Muncie Aggregates, a crushed-stone quarry listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration, lies 7.9 miles west of Parker City. A dump truck or tri-axle that hauls stone out of that pit is often parked at the quarry or a contractor’s yard between loads, so give us the address where it sits and we will collect it there.
North-east of town, US Aggregates-Ridgeville Quarry is 11.7 miles out, and to the south-west IMI Luray Sand & Gravel is 11.8 miles away; both appear in the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s records. If your truck has worked any of these pits, photograph the body, the hoist and the cab, and have the title and current registration together before you call.
Further west, the Anderson Plant sand and gravel operation sits 24.3 miles from Parker City according to the Mine Safety and Health Administration. A truck based there but owned by someone in Parker City can be picked up at either spot; tell us which one suits you.
Racks and the EAST yard
Tankers and freight heading toward Muncie
The Energy Information Administration lists two petroleum product terminals under the name MUNCIE, at 10.4 and 10.5 miles north-west of town. Tank trucks and tractors that pull fuel from those racks fit what we buy; keep any tank test certificates or service records with the title so they travel with the truck.
The EAST rail yard, 8.1 miles west on the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, is the nearest rail point. If your day cab shuttles loads to and from that yard, the VIN, the registration and a few clear photos of the tractor are what we ask for first.
Twenty-seven carriers with a farm-heavy mix
Parker City has 27 active carriers on FMCSA’s carrier census, and nine of them list farm supplies as cargo while another nine list general freight. Eight haul grain, feed or hay and four carry dry bulk commodities, so a grain truck, a hopper tractor or a straight truck with a flatbed is a common thing for a seller here to own.
Eighteen of those carriers run intrastate only and nine cross state lines, according to the federal motor carrier census, and 18 are private fleets moving their own goods. A private-fleet truck often has its paperwork filed with the farm or business rather than in the cab, so pull the title from that file before we arrange collection.
Eight Parker City outfits filed annual mileage with FMCSA, and the middle figure among them is 7,179 miles per truck. On FMCSA’s carrier census the three biggest local fleets run 24, 11 and 10 power units, so if you are clearing several trucks at once, list each VIN and where each one is parked.
From September 2024 through July 2026, officers stopped 25 Parker City-based trucks, and FMCSA roadside inspection records show half of them built in 2018 or later. In that same FMCSA sample, two in five carried a model year a decade or more back.
Whatever the model year of yours, the steps are the same: read us the VIN off the door jamb or title, send photos of all four sides and the dash, and tell us where the truck is parked in or around Parker City.
Farm trucks across the surrounding fields
Corn, soybeans and hogs lead agriculture across the 675 farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts in Randolph County. Grain trucks, livestock haulers and tractors pulling hopper trailers come off operations like these, and they are usually collected right from the farmyard or machine shed.
If the truck is registered to the farm rather than to you personally, the name on the title must match whoever signs it over. Sort that out with the farm’s owner before pickup so the transfer goes through cleanly.
Building work adds to the local mix as well: County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau counts 10 construction establishments in the area. Dump trucks and flatbeds from those contractors can be collected from a jobsite or a yard.
A duplicate title in this part of Indiana comes from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, which handles titles through its BMV branches. For Parker City sellers, the nearest counter is the Muncie branch at 2904 E Mcgalliard Rd, Muncie, 47303, which the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles places 8.3 miles from town.
Apply for the duplicate before we schedule collection, and bring your ID and the VIN. Once the replacement title is in hand, everything else about the sale is a phone call and a photo set.
