Fort Knox and Airport Road pits
Aggregate haulers between two crushed-stone pits
Fort Knox Quarry lies 9.3 miles west of town and Airport Road Quarry 10 miles east, both listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as crushed-stone operations. A dump truck or tractor that has shuttled aggregate out of either pit is the kind of equipment we buy, and we can collect it from the quarry lot, a yard in town or your driveway.
North of Lebanon Junction, the Mine Safety and Health Administration also lists the Arcosa Brooks Plant #1682, an industrial-mineral mine about 14.8 miles up the road, and the Kosmos Cement Plant 17.3 miles to the north-west. If your truck has hauled for any of these sites, tell us which one when you get in touch. Send photos of the bed, the cab and the VIN plate along with it.
Bullitt County’s southern end
Forty-seven carriers and mostly in-state work
Of the 47 Lebanon Junction carriers active in FMCSA’s carrier census, a mere 5 hold interstate authority and the remaining 42 keep to Kentucky roads. For a seller, that usually means a truck registered and plated in Kentucky, so have the Kentucky registration in the cab when we come to look at it.
Private fleets account for 32 of those registrations under the same FMCSA census, meaning businesses moving their own goods rather than hauling for hire. FMCSA filings show the top three local fleets at 10 power units with 6 drivers, 5 units and 3 units. Owner-operators and small shops with one or two trucks are welcome to call us.
Lowboys to grain beds
Heavy machinery, general freight and farm hauling
Machinery and large objects lead the cargo list at 15 Lebanon Junction carriers, according to FMCSA’s carrier census, with general freight close behind at 14. Lowboys, flatbed tractors and box trucks all fit what we take; tell us the trailer type and whether it goes with the tractor.
Eight local carriers list farm supplies and another eight list grain, feed and hay in that FMCSA census. Bullitt County had 420 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with soybeans, corn and cattle at the top, so a grain truck or livestock hauler parked in a barn lot outside town is a normal pickup for us. Give us directions to the field gate if the truck is off a paved road.
Shepherdsville clerk for a missing certificate
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet handles vehicle titles through county clerk offices, and for Lebanon Junction that is the Bullitt County Clerk at 149 North Walnut Street, Shepherdsville, 40165, about 10.5 miles from town. If the title is lost or still lists a lienholder, that office is where the replacement or the lien release starts.
Bring the title, signed where the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet form asks, along with your ID and any lien release letter. If the truck is registered to a business, have the paperwork showing who can sign for it, and we will tell you what else to bring before the visit.
Drivers who stay close to the junction
Of the drivers on Lebanon Junction carrier filings with FMCSA, 54 work inside a local radius and 21 run farther out. A truck that comes home every night is usually parked at the owner’s place or a shop yard nearby, which makes it simple for us to collect without moving it first.
Census Bureau County Business Patterns figures put 13 construction establishments in the area, a group that keeps dump trucks, flatbeds and service bodies on the road. If yours belongs to a contractor, gather the service records and the registration in one folder; they answer most of what we would otherwise ask by phone.
Up the line toward Louisville
Louisville ramps and the Osborn yard
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Louisville rail intermodal ramp 20.9 miles north and the Transflo CSXT liquid bulk terminal 21 miles north. Tractors that pull containers or tank trailers between those terminals and Bullitt County are on our list; say which terminal it served and attach any inspection reports you kept.
Further up, the OSBORN rail yard sits 21.7 miles north on the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Fort Knox, a military installation the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists 10.1 miles north-west, rounds out the places trucks from this town travel to. Wherever the truck stands today, send the address and we plan the collection from there.
