Product tankers bound west toward Amelia
A Shell liquid bulk terminal stands 10.9 miles west of Bayou Cane, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Tractors that pulled tank trailers in and out of that gate are among the trucks we buy here, and a seller can help us by naming the terminal and the product the trailer carried when first getting in touch.
Farther out on the same side, the Energy Information Administration lists the AMELIA petroleum product terminal at 21.2 miles west. If your tractor split its time between AMELIA and the Shell site, a short note of which runs it made and any terminal access paperwork you kept gives us the truck’s working history in one place.
Tankers from these routes are often parked at a yard rather than at the owner’s house. Tell us whose lot it sits on and who can open the gate, and we plan the collection around that person instead of asking you to move the rig.
Down the bayou
The port road to the south
Terrebonne Parish Port lies 20.5 miles south of town on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics port listing. Flatbeds, dump trucks and tractors that served the docks there can stay where they are; give us the address on the port side and we come down to it.
Please send a handful of daylight photos with your first message: both sides of the cab, the dash with the odometer showing, the VIN plate, the tires and the frame. Pictures of a truck sitting near the port let us confirm the unit and the access to it before the trip is set.
Larose and the grinding plant
To the east, the Mine Safety and Health Administration records the Larose Grinding Plant, a mineral processing plant 23.4 miles from Bayou Cane. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that hauled to or from a plant like that are trucks we buy, so name the MSHA site when you contact us.
Plant work usually leaves a trail of paper: gate passes, site safety cards and service records from the shop that kept the truck on that job. Keep those papers in the cab beside the title for pickup; a seller without them can simply describe the loads the truck carried to Larose.
Contractors, wholesalers and oilfield crews in Bayou Cane
Construction accounts for 250 of Bayou Cane’s 11,877 jobs in 2023, a 2.1 percent share, on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Contractors here own the pickups with dump beds, the single-axle dumps and the flatbeds that move materials between sites, and any of those can be sold to us with its title and registration in hand.
The same LEHD figures show 144 manufacturing jobs, 103 in wholesale trade, 77 in mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction, and 64 in transportation and warehousing. Box trucks from a wholesale route and service trucks from oilfield work fit our list as readily as a highway tractor does.
For a fleet owner letting several units go at once, a simple sheet with each VIN, make, model year and where it is parked keeps the conversation short. We can collect trucks from different spots in the parish on one plan.
Farm trucks in the parish
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 137 farms in Terrebonne Parish, with goats as the leading listing. Farm pickups, stake-bed trucks and livestock haulers from those places are welcome, and they are usually parked at the farm itself, which is where we pick them up.
Farm trucks are sometimes titled to a family member or an older farm business name. Check that the name on the title matches the person signing, and if it does not, settle the title in the signer’s name before collection so the transfer goes through cleanly.
The questions we get asked in Bayou Cane

Must I haul it back up the bayou to sell it?That Shell liquid bulk terminal is 10.9 miles west of town on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics listing, and we collect the truck where it stands there. Pass along the yard’s street address plus whoever holds the gate key near that terminal.

- My goat farm outside Bayou Cane has a stake-bed truck sitting by the pens; is that something you collect?Terrebonne Parish has 137 farms according to USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and farm pickups and stake-beds from them are trucks we buy. Make sure the title is in the seller’s name and we pick it up at the farm.
