Fuel racks off River Road
Fuel terminals north-east of Boutte
The Energy Information Administration lists the St Rose petroleum product terminal 5.3 miles north-east of Boutte and the Kenner Blending Terminal 11.3 miles out on the same bearing. A tractor that loaded fuel at either rack may still be hitched to its tank trailer when you call; tell us whether the trailer goes with the sale or stays behind, and send a photo of each unit’s plate.
Hazmat haulers usually keep tank test dates and cargo tank inspection stickers on file, and a copy of those belongs in the folder with the registration. If the tractor is parked inside a St Rose or Kenner gate, give us the name of whoever holds the keys so a driver can get past the terminal gate.
Good Hope, a liquid bulk terminal that the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places 7.4 miles north-west, adds a third loading point upriver. Note which of these three sites the truck served, along with the VIN, so the first call about your rig is short.
Dump trucks for the Hahnville sand pits
Hahnville Pit sits 6.1 miles north of Boutte and Hahnville Sand Pit 6.6 miles north, both recorded by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as sand and gravel operations. Dump trucks, end dumps and loader-hauling lowboys are the equipment that keeps a pit like these moving, and all of them are trucks we purchase.
A dump truck that spends its week at a pit often stays parked there over the weekend. For a truck still on the Hahnville side, send the pit name and a gate contact, plus photos of the bed, the hoist and the cab. Our driver collects it at the pit itself.
Drayage tractors between the river rail yards
Five miles north, the Destrehan rail yard appears in the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics; the same record lists Avondale Intermodal 11.4 miles east. Day cabs that dray containers and transload freight between those yards are a common sight on the roads around Boutte.
East of town, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics also maps the New Orleans rail intermodal ramp at 11.2 miles. If your tractor pulled chassis off that ramp or out of Avondale, have the cab card and the last annual inspection report together, and tell us whether a chassis is part of the deal.
Melonie Street
An OMV office on Melonie Street
The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles lists ABC Title of Boutte, one of its OMV offices, at 100 Melonie Street, Suite D, Boutte, 70039, just 1.3 miles from the centre of town. A seller whose title has gone missing can apply for a duplicate there before the truck is collected.
Bring the VIN, your registration and photo ID when you visit Melonie Street, and if a lender is still shown on the title, bring the lien release too. A title that names you as owner, signed where the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles asks, is the one document we must have at pickup.
Plant work around the parish
Of the 1,233 jobs located in Boutte in 2023, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 152 in manufacturing, which is 12.3 percent of the total. Box trucks, flatbeds and service trucks attached to plant work make up part of the fleet here alongside the terminal tractors.
St. Charles Parish had 44 farms in the USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, so a farm truck or grain hauler stored in a Boutte barn also fits what we collect. For a plant or farm vehicle, a few clear photos of each side, the dash and the data plate tell us what it is before anyone travels out.

- Will you collect an end dump that hauls out of Hahnville Sand Pit?Hahnville Pit and Hahnville Sand Pit, 6.1 and 6.6 miles north in Mine Safety and Health Administration records, are both places we will pick up a dump truck, so send the pit name with your photos.
