Grain, oilfield and timber haulers based in Ringgold
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 11 active carriers registered at Ringgold addresses, and five of them list general freight while four each list grain, feed and hay or oilfield equipment. A Ringgold owner selling a hopper-pulling tractor or a winch truck that served well sites can describe the work in a line or two; send that line with the VIN, the registration and a few photos of the cab and frame.
Three Ringgold carriers haul logs, poles, beams and lumber according to the same FMCSA census, so a log truck or a tractor that pulled a pole trailer is a plausible sale here. Tell us whether the trailer goes with the tractor or stays behind, and where in the parish both are parked.
The biggest fleet registered in town runs four power units with two drivers, per FMCSA’s carrier census, and the next two run three and two units. At that size the title may sit in a desk drawer at home; find it before you call and check that the VIN on the paper matches the one on the door jamb.
Interstate and in-state work out of a small parish town
Seven of the town’s carriers are registered for interstate work and four stay inside Louisiana, the FMCSA census records, while five run as private fleets carrying their own goods. If your truck crossed state lines, keep its registration papers together with the title for the handover.
Among the six Ringgold carriers that reported mileage, FMCSA’s census puts the median at 21,111 miles per truck in a year. That figure is simply a record of how these trucks are used; a service log or the last annual inspection report is the most useful paper to hand over alongside it.
Sand pits, Camp Minden and the Minden rail yard
The Dubberly Plant, a sand and gravel operation the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 14.7 miles north, is the nearest working site to Ringgold. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that hauled aggregate out of there are welcome; tell us whether the truck sits at the pit or at your house, and whether a loaded bed needs emptying first.
Heading north-west, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the NG Camp Minden Training Site 17.3 miles out, and the North American Rail Network shows the MINDEN rail yard 19 miles north of town. A tractor parked at a yard or a gated site can be collected there once someone with gate access meets us, so give us a name and phone number for that person.
Port of Caddo-Bossier docks and Shreveport terminals
About 20.4 miles west, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists the General Cargo Dock at the Port of Caddo-Bossier as both a roll-on/roll-off terminal and a rail intermodal ramp. Day cabs that shuttled containers or ro-ro loads off that dock can be picked up in Bossier or back home in Ringgold, wherever they now park.
The Energy Information Administration lists a SHREVEPORT petroleum product terminal at the same 20.4-mile distance west, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Calumet liquid bulk terminal 22.6 miles north-west. Tank tractors from that run belong on the list too; note the trailer type and any tank inspection certificates you hold.
Barksdale Air Force Base, 22 miles north-west on Bureau of Transportation Statistics figures, rounds out the sites within a short drive. If your truck delivered to the base, any access paperwork is yours to keep; we only need the title, the registration and the keys.
Cattle pots and hive flatbeds on Ringgold’s back roads
Ringgold farm owners raise cattle, hogs and honey, and USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 150 farms across Bienville Parish. A cattle pot, a livestock tractor or a flatbed that moved hives can be collected from the pasture gate, so describe the turn-in and whether a loaded trailer can get back out.
Whatever plate a Bienville Parish farm truck carries, photograph it beside the title and the VIN plate; matching names and numbers on one photo set lets the pickup go ahead without a second trip.
Replacing a lost Ringgold title through the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles
Titles here are issued by the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles, and its OMV offices list includes Minden Auto Title, LLC at 300 Morris Drive, Suite B, Minden, 71055, 20.5 miles from Ringgold. A Ringgold seller missing a title can request a duplicate there before the sale.
At the Minden counter, have photo ID and the VIN ready. If a lender still holds the Ringgold truck’s title, tell us the lender’s name, and the payoff letter and the lender’s paperwork can be lined up with the handover.
